My Crowd

I recently began collecting hardcover versions of Charles Addams's books mainly focusing on the Addams family. I purchased “My Crowd” and “Evilution” and was very pleased with both. While Evilution deals solely with the Addams Family “My Crowd” features over 200 cartoons depicting varying subjects with dark humor and a macabre twist. Charles Addams himself was quite the character and this book at 192 pages really illustrates his unique view of life and art style. A great companion book to get you ready for Tim Burton’s live-action Addams Family TV series currently being developed.

I got this at the same time as The World of Chas Addams, and there's no comparison - skip this and get The World of Chas Addams. It has most of what's in My Crowd, but printed so you can actually make out what the drawings are, plus a whole lot more content that's not in My Crowd.

Meeting characters

I love Charles Addams work, and this collection is awesome. Some of his classic material, and a lot I had never read before.

Great book for someone who is a fan of the comic strips by Charles Adams as well as any Addams family fan. As someone who likes dark humor this book is amazing.

This is such an awesome book. It really brings what we all loved about the Addams Family into the light. It's delightfully dark and macabre humorous.

Can't beat Addams. Nice coffee table book and conversation starter for when friends or even new friends stop by for that glass of wine or cup of tea or coffee. I highly recommend it along with my Cousin "IT" !

The man was a credit to his creativity ! I use to love reading these kinds of comics, I'm so glad I bought this.

The cartoons were very good and if you've never bought Charles Addams before, go for this one because sadly almost all the Addams family ones are repeated in other books.

Compared to the original collections, this feels like a fast draft. The paper is dull and doesn't allow for any depth or contrast in the prints. Washed out inks, gives a very "meh" feeling when flipping through it.

Great humour, timeless, received the book in good condition.
