Have been wearing this for several weeks for various tasks and have found them to be really comfortable. I actually managed to drop a log on my foot when chopping some up with my father in law and didn’t feel it so can vouch for the steel toe cap working! They are very light weight and fit great. I am a 9.5/10 normally and got a 10 so have plenty of room for a decent pair of socks in the winter. I think the quality for the price is good as they are not going to break the bank but seem like they will last well. The sole is reinforced which is useful incase you stand on any nails.I like the appearance although my children don’t so much. The way that you tighten the shoe is different and easy to do so a time saver if you are in a rush. You just twist the disk and it tightens the shoe. Recommend these for a comfortable protective shoe.

The sizing on these - if I had known it was euro size 40, I would have got the size half down as the 6 on me (which is my normal trainer size 6/39) is just too big.I will have to wear these with really thick socks on and luckily I'm using them around the house during renovations instead of my slipper boots so it won't matter so much.For the shoes themselves though they are really nice.So lightweight and flexible! Remind me of a Skechers type of shoe which I wear all the time because my feet can't cope with heavy stiff shoes of any type.They are really generous at the toes and I would say these are quite wide overal. However they are too large for me as I mentioned above so if you are a true size 40 with wide feet then they might just be a normal fit for you.They look nice on - not like a work shoe. Thick soles . Passed and soft on the inside as well.Great you don't need to tie laces with these as the turn thing just tightens it up for you and you pull the knob out to release them. I had to pull the bottom wires in at the foot and then hold them while I turned it to tighten up the lengths as I needed it tightening at the base of my toes more than the top. Bit fiddly to do but it does workFailing that I can just swap them out for some normal laces.So aside from the mis sizing, they are surprisingly really nice comfy steel toe caps and I'm happy with them

It seems the days of shoe boxes are over!They also include a zip-lock polythene bag to keep them in but I can't really see this lasting too long with extended use.Anyway, the packaging isn't that important as long as your item arrives in good condition, which these did.What you get is a pretty decent looking pair of safety trainers.They look smart, modern and fashionable and certainly don't appear to have steel toecaps until you inspect them a lot closer. They definitely don't have the appearance of safety footwear.I'm not sure what material is used for the uppers as it's just stated as "synthetic". It only mentions the uppers as being breathable so I'm assuming these are not overly waterproof beyond splash resistant and suchlike. The material has a sort of plastic feel to it.The fastening method is via that rotary dial system. This is something new to me but it does seem to work quite well.. simply turn the dial clockwise to tighten the this cord laces and pull up the dial to loosen them off. Very simple although I do wonder what happens if/when the cord snaps? Can it be replaced as easily as shoe laces?The soles on these trainers is a form of thick but very lightweight rubber that is moulded to the upper section. It has a good tread and offers loads of grip.Various safety features are built in to these trainers. Besides the solid steel toecaps the sole is puncture proof as well. I'm not treading on nails to test it so I'll accept it works as advertised!These trainers are incredibly lightweight for safety footwear and also very comfortable to wear. A deep cushioned sole and padded insoles provide a very pleasant walking experience and remain comfy throughout the day.For safety trainers it's very hard to find fault with these.They look great, the fit is spot on, practical and they're so comfy to wear.

I do a lot of DIY on my home, both internal and external and safety shoes are essential for many tasks. However many of my previous steel toe cap shoes are both heavy and time consuming to put on and take off.When these arrived I immediately noticed how much lighter they are than the fully solid soled other safety shoes I have. Putting them on is quick with the simple quick release for the plastic lace cord and once on the shoes have really comfortable padding under foot.I am a size 10 and bought an 11 which is normal for me and safety shoes as I find thicker socks and the fact that such shoes fit snuggly around the ankle means that a bit of extra space isn't an issue, plus helps with my wide feet. For me the size 11 is fine with length to spare but I wouldn't want to go down to 10 due to my wide feet.The quick swivel buckle laces are great for quick removal and it's nice to be able to adjust tension precisely. I do wonder how robust the thin plastic cords are and the longevity of the tightening mechanism but for now they're much better than standard laces.Overall a great pair of safety shoes!
