Way of the Warrior Kid 4: Field Manual

All Jocko Willink books for young boys are great! The books are written in such a way that it really encourages boys to read. My grandson has all of Jocko Willink's books for kids. He has read them multiple times. The books teach real life lessons about how to react or not to react to certain situations that young boys may be faced with. It teaches about bullies and how to deal with them. It teaches character skills and how to keep improving. It teaches about failures and how to move on. So many life lessons. Some reviews have said that they think Jocko Willink talks about himself too much or brags about himself too much in his books. So what. He was a Navy Seal, he's earned that right. Think about it.

Uncle Jake seems like he is a part of our actual family now. My boy talks about the lessons learned from this line of books. The field manual just adds to it. I highly recommend these books and they are filled with positive messaging and give helpful advise to everyone. Jocko rules!

Jocko is the man. A great role model for kids in a time where there aren’t many in the mainstream. This book did not disappoint!

Perfect book for a warrior kid.

This is a great series. I am now reading the 4th book to my 9-year old grandson. Granted, the character is a little older but hoping to plant some seeds. He has enjoyed them so much he is going back and reading them on his own.Although this is different than the first 3 (hope he writes more), it sort of sums them up as well as reinforcing what was "taught" in the other books. So important to instill great values as early as possible. The only regret with the series is that faith is not mentioned.

My kid, reads all of Jockos books over and over

My 7yo daughter looks forward to me reading her this book every night. We’ve been implementing more responsibility for her and encouraging her with things like “a warrior kid doesn’t throw a tantrum but communicates clearly” or “a warrior kid clears her dishes” to get her to take ownership of her responsibilities. It’s a great starter to write your own codes of conduct in the family and we’re going to start writing our own field manual for us soon. We esp need for when emotions run high.

Kids love all the Warrior Kids books. It’s the one they always ask to have read to them and now are starting to read on their own. All the books teach some great lessons. Since getting the field manual they have also asked about the Warrior Kid podcast.

Great book , great series ! Started this series with my son when the lockdowns ended, it helped him so much , his confidence has improved , his discipline, he references uncle Jake quite often ! Thank you sir
