Holy Grail of Sunscreen and very family friendly
My 13 year old son is using Retin A products for cystic acne and needed a powerful sunscreen to protect his skin. I found this at my local drug store and gave it to him to try. My first impressions were that I loved the gel. No thick lotion that took forever to apply which meant that there was a better chance of him using it. Also that it was odorless and he wasn't going to go around smelling like medicine or a field of daisies. But what impresses me most about this sunscreen is family friendly. We all can use it because it's safe for everyone. It does a great job moisturizing. He doesn't get flakes which Retin A is so notorious for. It balances his skin out so he doesn't have any peeling or flaking and all without any harsh chemicals. It's totally invisible and I can use it under my makeup without a problem. It's also easy to apply, once in the morning and done. But if we're going to be out all day, it's easy to take with us and apply every couple of hours per the label instructions. This sunscreen is going to take us through anything we decide to do. Cruises, trips to the amusement and water park, camping and just backyard BBQ's. Even on cloudy days you need a good sunscreen and Emilia is our hands down family choice. Everyone wants their own tube so I'm glad that it's on Amazon :)

Fantastic
Bought this for my daughter to use. I was surprised how good it is. I put some on my arm to test it and it was actually really nice - zero greasy feel, clear, and only a faint scent. So I tried it on my face while working outdoors in the heat. It gave good protection, but one thing I noticed is that it did not run and my eyes didn't burn like with other sunscreens. The bottles are small, but I guess since it is for your face, that's ok. It also makes them nice for travelling. The only caveat is that, since it is clear, and it is not greasy, you can't really see where you put it on. It pretty much disappears right after you apply it, which is good, but you need to pay attention to where you put it so you don't miss any areas. The positive spin on this is that your face is relatively small, and unlike something like your legs where it *is* easy to miss areas, not so much on your face.tl;dr I like it.

Looks Like a Gel But Feels Like Oil
I was looking for a GEL sunscreen because my skin cannot take oily creams. Gels tend to go on your skin and absorbs quickly without an oily feel. My dermatologist tells me to only use gel sunscreens. I currently use Bullfrog gel but I don't like the smell. This Emilia gel is super oily. I feel like I am putting baby oil on my face. I tried it on my forehead as that is the least sensitive part of my face. My skin developed a burning sensation. Again, I am extremely sensitive to petrolatum products, so my reaction is different. I JUST DON'T THINK THIS IS TRULY A GEL. IT MAY BE CLEAR LIKE A GEL, BUT SO IS BABY OIL.

Amazing feeling sunblock for skin!
This stuff goes on so smoothly. It feels a lot like pore correcting lotions in some ways. Slight scent of honey, but that's about all the scent and it seems to work very well. I have extremely light skin prone to burn on a cloudy day, much less on a sunny day. This stuff wears well under makeup if you choose to wear it, but I find this with a little bit of powder on top makes a lovely healthy natural look without caked feeling. It doesn't clog my pores and I am very prone to break outs or random skin irritations. I use it all over face, ears, and upper chest/neck because most sunscreens will give me some sort of redness or breakout. This stuff never does. I have worn if for multiple day kayak trips and on field days at the elementary I work at and never had an issue. This tube looks small, but a little goes a very long way of this stuff. I love it and am now on my 5th or 6th tube.

Works very well!
I really did enjoy this sunscreen, no WHITE residue which I loved and smells GREAT! I just wish they had a higher SPF like 100 or more but overall I liked it.

Not for Oily Skin
I have skin that's heavy on the oil side. I expected this sunscreen to be oil-absorbing since it is a gel sunscreen. Although the sunscreen is clear, it doesn't feel moisturizing or doesn't feel like it's protecting the skin. It feels goopy instead of smooth (like a sunscreen should be). It definitely doesn't stop oil production. The scent was okay. I would apply the sunscreen with my fingers and rub it against my fingers before applying it to my face. I felt that it absorbed too quickly into my fingers before even being able to apply it to my face. You have to squeeze a lot out of the bottle to get even coverage on your face.

Protects skin made sensitive by using tretinoin
I got a prescription tretinoin from my dermatologist to control my acne, so using suncreen is a must to protect my skin. It's been hard to find one that would stay put on my oily skin even when I'm walking without shade in 100+ degree West Texas weather, but this product does that. And it's a gel, so it blends into my medium toned skin (NC35) easily without too much rubbing, which is something I like when I have to reapply it really quick every 2 or 3 hours (I usually have a coworker in the company truck with me when I do field work and I didn't want to seem as if I'm fussing too much with appying my sunscreen correctly). It doesn't feel greasy or uncomfortably thick and even when I sweat, it doesn't give me that embarrassing white cast that I get from sunblocks like Neutrogena (even their sheer version still gives me that white cast). Unfortunately, it stings my eyes so I'm careful not to put too much above/on my eyebrows.
