This SIRUI Sniper 23mm F1.2 lens has completely upgraded my Sony APS‑C setup. The image quality is razor-sharp across the frame—ideal for portraits, landscapes, and everything in between. Do not let the price fool you. This is a solid lens that performs very well. I use this for wide video shots at comedy shows I record. The autofocus is solid, I really cannot find a complaint. It works as well as my 24mm Sony GM lens. A fast lens great for low light situations. I have used it for some still photography. No issues. Great results.

What a great lens I will be purchasing the other focal length lens from this series. IQ is amazing. It isn’t heavy so my arms aren’t struggling while I’m using my gimbal.

If you are looking for a budget lens to start a new video project, this piece of glass has it all. Despite the fact that is APS and not for full frame, if you do your math calcs you may achieve a good 35mm equivalent with this 24mm aps-c on a full frame. Autofocus works good and sharpness is good all around. Most thing I like was the weight. Specially if you're covering a 5 or 6 hours event. It is lightweight. Not like my beloved Sigmas which weights a ton. Better yet, the price tag. This is af but Sirui has the famous nightwalker line in manual config and they are great overall.

While the sniper series may not be the most clinically accurate from corner to corner, they are still excellent lenses with very good build quality. The auto focus is very good and I have not had any issues with focus breathing. Chromatic aberration is well controlled though not absent. Great value!

Super light which is good especially for gimbal work. 1.2 makes for good bokeh if that’s your style. 3 stars because during a wedding it just wouldn’t focus at times. Which was only after 1 use at a previous wedding

the auto-focusing from the a6400 tends to be a little off. maybe it's the camera idk. The color aberration is very noticeable from the lens in the camera. overall a great lens

Extremely happy with this lens. Its sharpness, and auto-focus belongs to way more expensive lenses.

Excelente calidad del producto

Por la relación calidad precio creo que es una lente muy interesante. En mi caso la uso para vídeo y puede que los fotógrafos necesiten otras caracterísiicas. Lo he probado ya unas tres veces junto con mi Sony FX-30 en trabajos profesionales. Es un objetivo ligero y con un tamaño perfecto para una cámara APSC. En mi caso tengo la versión blanca que le da un toque diferente y la verdad es que creo que es precioso. Tiene una apertura de f1.2 muy luminosa y que otorga un bokeh muy pronunciado y cremoso. En cuanto al enfoque automático no es el mejor que he probado. Está claro que algunas lentes Sony o Sigma que tengo son algo más rápidas y precisas pero el desempeño de este SIRUI es bueno y más que suficiente por lo menos para hacer vídeo. En cuanto a su calidad de imagen aquí viene todo lo que lo hace "especial". Tiene como es normal una ligera pérdida de nitidez en sus aperturas más grandes y también adolece de un contraste más blando que otras lentes. Sin embargo son estos "defectos" o características lo que hace que su look sea tan maravilloso y muy diferente a otras lentes más caras. En mi caso, que hago vídeo exclusivamente, no me interesa la excesiva nitidez ni las imágenes perfectas. Lo que busco es personalidad y este objetivo lo tiene a raudales. Su precioso bokeh, su poco contraste, y los lens flare que puedes obtener hace que sea maravilloso trabajar con él. Sin mucho esfuerzo consigues un look muy cinematográfico que nada tiene que ver con los objetivos de más alta gama. En definitiva, para vídeo no solo lo recomiendo si no que creo que por el precio que tiene es casi imprescindible para dotar de personalidad a tus trabajo.

このレンズは白いという事で気に入って購入した。映りはF１.２という事でボケが良い！ しかしながら滲みというか？ボヤけるというか？その辺りがレトロ感を醸し出す。 僕的には映画の様に見えて満足した。ただピントをビッシリ合わせて撮影となると厳しいと思う、 SONYレンズ GM２４１.４の方が良いが、価格を考えると上出来ではないか？ と思う気持ちです。他のsirui sniper のレンズも買いたい試したいと思う。 レビューさせて頂けるなら是非とも、sirui さんにお願いしたいです。

Il Sirui Sniper 16mm f/1.2 si è dimostrato una sorpresa incredibile sul campo, specialmente dopo l'aggiornamento firmware 1.0.9. Durante una diretta intensiva di oltre due ore su treppiede, l'obiettivo ha mostrato una solidità degna di ottiche ben più blasonate. Nonostante l'apertura estrema di f/1.2, l'utilizzo a f/2.0 si è rivelato il "punto dolce" (sweet spot), offrendo un bokeh pastoso e una separazione del soggetto fenomenale, pur mantenendo una nitidezza dell'immagine cristallina e colori vibranti, nettamente superiori all'obiettivo kit 16-50mm. Il test più probante è stato l'uso della funzione Product Showcase: con oltre 200 passaggi tra volto e oggetti in primo piano, l'autofocus è rimasto reattivo e preciso, senza mai cadere nel fastidioso fenomeno del "focus hunting". La capacità della lente di mantenere il tracking dell'occhio (Eye-AF) costante, anche durante i movimenti naturali del soggetto dietro il tavolo, lo rende uno strumento affidabile per chi lavora in solitaria. Inoltre, la gestione termica in accoppiata con la ZV-E10 (e alimentazione dummy battery) è eccellente, mantenendo il sistema appena tiepido anche dopo sessioni prolungate. Un'ottica che non è solo un esercizio di stile per la sua luminosità, ma un vero strumento di lavoro "Streaming Approved". PRO Luminosità Straordinaria: L'apertura f/1.2 permette di lavorare a ISO bassissimi (es. ISO 200) garantendo immagini pulite anche in condizioni di luce studio non estrema. Autofocus Affidabile: Con il firmware 1.0.9, l'AF è stabile e preciso anche in modalità "Mostra Oggetto" (Product Showcase). Qualità del Bokeh: Anche chiudendo a f/2.0 o f/2.8, lo sfondo rimane morbido e professionale, isolando perfettamente il soggetto. Costruzione e Prezzo: Un feeling premium che, se acquistato usato o in offerta, offre un rapporto qualità-prezzo imbattibile per sensori APS-C. CONTRO Peso e Bilanciamento: Rispetto all'obiettivo kit, è sensibilmente più pesante e sposta il baricentro della ZV-E10 in avanti. Necessità di Aggiornamento: Per ottenere le prestazioni descritte, è fondamentale verificare e aggiornare il firmware alla versione più recente tramite la porta USB-C. Gestione Luce: Data la grande apertura, in ambienti molto illuminati è facile dover chiudere il diaframma oltre f/2.5 o utilizzare filtri ND per non sovraesporre.
