Pressed it one time for a split second, now it doesn't work anymore. Don't buy this

WHEN I FIRST RECEIVED THIS ITEM , I TESTED EACH HORN WITH A SHORT BURST. THEN I ORDERED TWO HOLSTERS SO THAT THEY COULD BE CARRIED ON A WALK. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE FOR THESE HORS IS TO CARE AWAY STRAY DOGS WHEN MY WIFE GOES ON WALKS. ALSO THERE ARE REPORTS OF A BOBCAT IN THE FORESTED AREA AROUND OUR HOME, AND I INTENDED TO USE THE HORNS TO WARD IT OFF SHOULD IT APPEAR WHEN OUR FAMILY DOG ID IN OUR FENCED BACK YARD. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER RECEIVING THESE HORNS I TESTED THEM AGAIN WITH A SHORT BURST. ONE OF THEM FAILED AS IT WAS EMPTY OF PROPELLANT. I REQUESTED A RETURN FROM AMAZON. THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OF THIS ITEM, BUT THEY DID GIVE ME A TOTAL REFUND. ASSUMING THE FAILED HORN WAS A DEFECTIVE ONE OFF, I ORDERED TWO NEW HORNS AND TESTED BOTH UPON RECEIPT. ONCE AGAIN AFTER SEVERAL DAYS, ONE OF THE HORNS WAS EMPTY. I WILL EAT THE COST OF THIS SECOND ORDER, BUT WILL NOT ORDER THIS DANGEROUS JUNK AGAIN.

I got this for a female friend who walks her do at 4 AM sometimes. I was worried and offered to get yer pepper spray. She said no, to buy her this instead. I wondered why, but understand now. You can sound this while a bad person is coming at you and alert the whole apartment complex and freak the person out, before he's even within range for you to spray pepper spray.

I love this airhorn. It was really loud when you press down on it for like a good 10 seconds. It gets cold. I use this at my daughter’s graduation is very loud and I love it. I would buy again.

I used this to scare away the Canadian geese that plaque my yard in the Spring. I don’t want to hurt them, so this is an alternative to keep them away from my driveway and yard. Their scat is so nasty and I get creeped out thinking about all the bacteria. I’ve only given 4 stars, since the canister is small, so the sound blast doesn’t last as long as I hoped for.

Rottweiler and boxer females fighting —First I tried the dog deterrent spray on the market -sprayed it right in their faces-didn’t hold back -no effect whatsoever-had this -blew it one time -both stopped in their tracks and looked at me like —oh cr@p-blew it in each of their faces and ordered them where to go-and it was game over ! Back to buy some more to keep on hand !

Worst product ever. It says air horn scares away bears, what kind of bears? You forgot to put in the description, this air horn scares away bears (teddy bears) Yep pretty much teddy bears. No refund on this POS. We horned the squirrel who was making a meal out of our soffit, to scare him away, and all he did is laugh and keep chewing. When I unwrapped from the box it was so small I thought it was a kids toy. Then 4 blasts the horn stopped working because the compressed air was used up with 4 hits. I wish there was a refund for this.

Depends what the purpose is for the air horn. It's great for boating, as an alarm, or an SOS alerter because it is super loud, but if it's to keep bears away as you're hiking, you will go deaf.
