Starlite Creations Battery Operated LED Ultra Slim Wire, 9 ft, 36 LEDs, White Bundle Set

I first found these lights at a local box retailer, and I was impressed by the amount of light they put out and the fine "floral" wire that connects them. I bought two sets immediately, with the plan to pick up more if they met my expectations. That was a BAD plan on my part, because when I went back a few days later, they were sold out for the season. Luckily, I was able to find these on Amazon to purchase.I've picked up several sets of these. First, the 36-light set is just enough to add accent the standard-sized wreaths I have hanging on my front doors. The fine wire is very much like floral wire, so it blends into the greenery and enables you to wrap around branches, etc., to secure the lights. The control unit is fairly small, compared to similar battery-operated lights. I'm sure the battery life will be limited if you use these every day, but given that in most cases you have no choice but to use a battery-operated product, that should be an expectation. My only other alternative would be do go without lighting.I'm adding a photo of a large, 36" wreath I have hanging in my dining room. For this wreath, I had to use two sets of lights. However, I think the effect is well worth it.

Our community wanted to use these as trim to light the circumference of giant lollipops for our entrances during the holidays. We turned them on 3 weeks prior to Christmas using the timer for 6 hours. They started fading by the 4th week. Luckily, we didn't turn them on earlier or we would have had to change the batteries. Since they were advertised for indoor use, we wrapped each battery pack in plastic bags for additional protection. We are located in the Denver area where the temps were in single digits during these weeks.

These lights are much smaller than they appear in the pictures. The box for each is about 5"x2"x1". That being said, they are much brighter than I expected (white). The wire is not your typical Xmas light wire (plastic coated and flexible). It is a thin metal wire that will hold its shape to a certain extent. Definitely a plus. I am a little disappointed that the seller (or Amazon) did not state anywhere in the product description that these light are to be used indoor only. A fact that is clearly stated in the product manual. I was intending to use them on a small tree outside. I guess if it doesn't say 'for outdoor use' it aint. The timer is a major plus! The battery box is approximately 3"x2"x1" and comes with a hole in the back to mount it to a wall.

Loved using these little lights for an unusual project. Made a "Christmas tree" of horizontal tiered poles to wall hang and needed lightweight (they are very), battery operated (no outlet on that wall), smaller (like large grain of rice / orzo sized) bulbs. Downside - on the "timer" setting the batteries DID NOT LAST LONG!! In a few days it seemed like they just kept getting fainter & fainter until I changes the batteries again. IF you remember to manually turn them on & off every day they last MUCH longer. Also make sure your pets don't chew on these fine wires (unwound them at dining table & the cats thought they were a new toy!) I think for my use they were perfect, but think the dark green wire for some projects wouldn't work well. I would suggest they make batteries last longer on timer & maybe clear or metallic wire with warm white bulbs.

The wire is easy to manipulate and it's very light so it doesn't mess up greenery if you put the lights on after you have set up your display. I only had to use 2 sets on our mantle to give it enough lighting. Also like the different light settings you can choose. The only suggestion I have is to make it remote controlled. You have to manually turn it on and off which is sometimes difficult if you don't want the battery case in view. But overall, glad I purchased these.

These tiny lights are on a super thin wire which is great for decorating tiny Christmas trees, wreaths, mantles, banisters...you get the idea. The timer feature is great. You set it to timer once and then come home to festive lights every night. I got multicolored and white. I decorated a mini tree with a set of these lights and some mini ornaments for a teacher friend's classroom desk. My daughters put a mini tree in their Barbie townhouse. I was given a pretty wine bottle with Christmas lights inside but the wire that came with it was the plug in type. I replaced it with a set of these and now it's on my mantle, and with the timer it just comes on automatically every evening and looks so pretty!

I took four of these strands and wrapped them around some tall rebar stakes that my wife uses for her asian stargazer lilies. I cut the led strands from their power/control boxes and wired them in parallel using using  Bluecell Pack of 20 2.1x5.5mm Female and Male DC Power Adapter Connector for CCTV Camera Use  and  StarTech.com USB2TYPEM 3 Feet USB to Type M Barrel 5V DC Power Cable  (the wire with the white strip is negative) and powering them with an extra 5V  Apple 12W USB Power Adapter  I had lying around. They have been on constantly non-stop for over a year.

Another reviewer said these could go on a christmas tree, but i found they were too small for a large tree (you'd have to buy several strands and the cost adds up). These are very pretty lights and the battery power, timer and different settings available (regular, pulse, blinking) are all great features. Even though I can't use them in the tree, they can be used in doorways, wreaths, art projects, anything small-medium size.
