The right price for this cute mermaid tail blanket. I got the white/rainbow color. It's crochet, so the knit isn't super tight, and there are larger holes for part of the design. But it's still warm for my legs and feet.The back is partially open, and the bottom half of the tail is slim, but the fabric stretches a lot. I'm 5'4" and 250 lbs. and am able to fit my legs in the blanket all the way down to the opening at the bottom. I can pull the blanket up to my armpits. It's not big enough to cover my whole body. Designed for waist-down coverage. The bottom is open, but you can't walk in it. The bottom is not elastic and doesn't stretch.Wash before first use. It's not machine washable, but I did it anyway on the delicate cycle and dried on delicate setting, and it was fine. It was a risk I was willing to take. Turned out soft and fluffed all the way in the dryer because it was vacuum packed for shipping and arrived very squished.It's a novelty. Definitely something I'd recommend for a teenage daughter or niece. But I'm a woman in my 30s, and I like it. Nice selection of a few different colors. Could be a little more variety or maybe an option to customize.

Was very excited about this blanket to give us a gift until I opened it and it smelled like old warehouse yarn. I couldn’t give it as a gift. I had to wash it and just leave it.

I'm very skeptical about things like this that say adult size, and I was leery about believing the positive reviews since there were definitely mixed reviews overall. I was expecting a cheap feeling lap blanket that was much smaller and less well-made than the pictures. Boy was I wrong! It was definitely long enough and wide enough to fully cover me up to my arm pits, and the color and quality are great! I was sad I bought it as a gift exchange because I wanted to keep it!! The downside is that while well-made, it is thin. By that, i mean it wasn't made with thick yarn. Of course it had the open wave that's shown in the pictures, but the yarn itself was thin, so i don't imagine it being too warm. That being said, if you're looking for a light blanket that's really cute, I highly recommend this!

This is super cute and great for a simple present. I know the teen girl that's getting this will definitely love it. It is a little thinner than I expected it to be. It's not thick or fluffy, more like a light blanket weight. I'm not sure if it was just mine but it definitely has a kind of a smokey smell to it. I'm glad I open the package ahead of time and let it air out, the smell did go away.

The tails come out Shelly in the shrink wrap but a quick wash fixes that easy. Big but not thick.
