Gorgeous
This mantel is beautiful. It is sturdy and we love the way the natural wood looks. It was pretty easy to install, and the size of it matches the description. It is the perfect addition to our living room, and the perfect location to hang our stockings on in December. we LOVE it

The perfect touch to finish my bathroom remodel.
I purchased a 42" and two 24" floating shelves and I absolutely love everything about them. From them being one hundred year old reclaimed wood with flaws and nails to the system used for hanging them. Most of all I Love the way they look. They are truly the finishing touch my bathroom remodel needed. Thank You.

Gorgeous mantle
We were very pleased with this item. The wood is gorgeous and it came with details of where the wood originated and how old it was. Very cool. The mounting kit left a lot to be desired. Two straight wooden bars that you mount to the wall. I felt this mantle could slide right off, so I bought two brackets from the local hardware store and added some stability to it.But once we got it all mounted, we decorated for Christmas and hung our stockings and some lights from it. It was stunning! Now we are trying to figure out how to decorate it for non-holiday decor.Quality item, and we are very impressed by it. Just the mounting kit could have been better.

Great look and value.
These are rough cut old reclaimed timber so do not expect them to be smooth and perfect. These are great for a rustic look. The wood I was shipped was from the late 1800’s from a barn in PA. It had a couple of peg holes which gives it character. It does come with hardware to mount but if you have a longer piece you will want to add some. I used the hardware that came with it to land on the center studs. I then added addition lag type bolts at the ends for added support, again these are in studs. You will need some deep 1/2” drill bits to drill the holes for the supports and will need to go about 5-1/2” deep. Take your time, plan it out and measure twice and it will go up in a little more than an hour. This is a great price for some historic wood that will add to the character of your home. Remember no 2 pieces will be the same and there will be some slight imperfections. The big plus is it is solid wood and not a box built mantel.

Very Nice Product
I've been looking for a while for a way to appropriately display my antique measures & this timber fits the bill! I got the 4' unfinished timber which works perfectly. Pretty heavy, but I attached the supplied hardware to three different wall studs & it's solid as a rock.I highly recommend, if you're thinking about ordering one or more don't hesitate. I'll probably get another one to display some other items myself!

Cheap Screws - Awesome Chunk of Wood
The wood is great. Heavy, real and rough cut chuck of wood. It looks great and the design over all has no flaws. The problem for me was the with the screws that comes with it as well as the anchors. I should have listened to my own instincts from experience not to use the screws provided. Even with drilling a pilot hole after finding the stud in the wall to mount the "T" brace to the wall, I drilled in one of the screws with about a half inch to go and it twisted the head of the screw off. Usually cheap screws that are provided with items like this will strip out easily. This caused me to have to drill above this and move the "T" brace up in which I then had to notch out more of the recess on the back of the shelf in order for it to shove flush against the wall. I got lucky with my placement of drilling the holes into the shelf and it fits like a glove.

Don't buy this product
I liked the look of this shelf--the heft and the color, and the reviews were positive, so I ordered two 'oiled' shelves to use in my kitchen remodel. When they arrived they were not the beautiful rustic brown in the picture, but a cherry red. I was not happy but they were heavy and cumbersome and I decided to paint them instead of sending them back. Each shelf came with two small brackets. It did not look right based on my previous experience with floating shelves, but if this is what they send with their products, I decided to trust it. I hired a contractor to install them. The contractor followed the instructions, drilling holes into the wood with what looked like a very big drill bit--but that's what the instructions said, so that's what he did. Sure enough, when he mounted the shelf it was not at all secured. It was loose and wobbly. There was no way to do a counter-screw through the top or bottom of the shelf to anchor it.I also noticed when my contractor had it on the wall, it was level on the top of the shelf but not on the bottom--the shelf width had been cut inconsistently so it was wider on one end than the other. My contractor suggested a different mounting bracket to be purchased in order to install the shelves, which would have been an additional $120. That on top of the work I'd have to pay him for to level them, not to mention having to repaint and stain them, made me not want to keep them. They were already expensive shelves at $160 each! I processed the Amazon return, which immediately said it was approved for a refund, and sent them back the same day. That was Thursday, August 15. A week after I sent the shelves back I checked on the refund and it wasn't in process. The sellers first asked me for pictures and to explain the problem. I told them I could not send pictures as I had already shipped the shelves back. I explained my issues and was told only that a return was not possible because I had already drilled into the shelf. Of course I had drilled into it!! That's how I knew it didn't work! That's how I knew it wasn't level! Not only that but they insist that the hardware is supposed to be loose to allow for the wood to expand. This is preposterous. Even if the wood needs room to expand, there still has to be a way to secure the shelf. They told me to take it up with Amazon, which I did. Amazon told me my refund was granted on 8/30 but I have not yet seen the refund come through. This morning (9/7) I received yet another message from the seller telling me the hardware was supposed to be loose. It's worth noting that I bought two shelves and only drilled into one of them. Their reasoning for not offering the refund was because I had drilled into the shelf. If that were the case, I should have received a refund for one of them and they should have only contested the drilled one. But they didn't. They kept the money for both shelves, and accepted both shelves in a return. This company is terrible. Terribly craftsmanship and terrible customer service. Avoid at all costs.
