Sony PSP Go! Console (Black)

I bought this for £123 from Amazon Warehouse, it was advertised as used but was in perfect condition as I discovered upon receipt. I've owned the PSP 1000 since pre-launch (bought in the states, and also still in perfect condition) and much prefer the new design. The screen is far more vivid, and the controls ok, but if you also have a PS3 you can use a Dual Shock controller- pointless I know but really cool regardless. The only thing I think lets this machine down is the price of them new, and Sony's expensive PSN, but if you're like me and love gadgets this will probably be collectable one day and I think is undeserving of some of the comments here so worth getting. Its also actually portable now-less Atari Lynx (first machine) and more mobile phone. If you want CFW and don't have money to buy games from PSN or have slow broadband as all games have to be downloaded (Dantes Inferno =1.5 gigs) steer clear, otherwise I would recommend the PSP GO over the older models.

Well I bought this for my sons 9th birthday. Great device BUT how about the free games ?? To get them you first have to download a a special theme and register to get the code emailed out to you. This takes several days and can take up to 30! you then enter the code into the psp store and the games are there to download. The connection persistently times out after about 12% or so. My wireless connection is good and I have v fast cable internet, the pspgo is next to the router!So gave up on that and installed media go to try to do it via my PC. It then took ages to update itself, then required an update to play videos from the store. I'm still waiting for it to login after 10 mins and numerous retries!I'm about to give up and send it back for a full refund. I consider myself v tech savvy and run my own website. I cant believe that many people would persist this far. The thing I really object to is the fact that I have effectively paid for these games yet cant get them onto the machine! Even if I can eventually connect to the store I'm not sure if it will be possible to get them on the PC with the emailed code.SO, think hard before getting this device and see how persistent you are prepared to be.

DONT BUY THIS IS A BAD IDEA............bought 2 of these for my 2 sons, they enjoy playing it but when they want to buy a new game it is a disaster, we go online and purchase a game (you think you have downloaded it) however when you actually try to load the game or movie to the PSP it can take up to 5 hours during the day and it has also on many occasions timed out and starts all over again. I have resorted to buying the games and downloading them during the night while we are sleeping. This is the worst value for money. Also I bought a movie for my kids and it only downloads onto one psp go. Absolute rip off.................DONT BUY THIS............My advice is stick to the old style psp where you can buy games and download music etc if you want.....this is a big big no no.

Decided to get this as PlayStation were doing the 10 free games offer. Happy to say I got the code to get said games 12 hours after downloading a special theme from the PlayStation Store, good show Sony.The PSP Go device is sleek and perfect for the gamer on the move. The device fits into a pocked and as the games are held internally there is no need for any disks. Word of warning here however - if your broadband speeds are slow this may not be the perfect device for you as some of the game fies are 1.5GB in size. Install times are also quite high at around 20 minutes.The device is exactly what I was after as a fist time PSP buyer but people upgrading will not be able to use their current UMD's with the GO.

It's pretty hard to download games on this thing unless you have a wireless that it supports. You can use a PC but this to be buggy as well.I mostly used it for playing old games like Crash bandicoot.

PSP was as describe and in original box.Only downside was length of time to get it, but that could be to do with covid-19 crisis.Supplier used Royal Mail and supplied tracking number, no problem recommending this supplier to anyone

UPDATE: After playing around with it more several important functions do not work, such as connecting to a computer. Even with the correct USB data transfer cable this particular PSP GO is unable to successfully connect, rendering it nearly useless for downloading, modifying, or updating. I do not give it 1* as the actual hardware and basic software works, but I am unable to download or play any games in its current state.OLD: The PSP Go I received is functional, however the entire screen and body is very scratched. It is also quite dirty and will need a good clean. I understand it is used, however it was marked as in very good condition, but I must disagree. It is OK condition, and I feel rather disappointed as I paid extra specifically to receive one in good condition. Would love to hear from the seller and see if we can replace it with one in better condition.

It was looks really attractive but it was hard to use as we thought there would b some game in it or easy to attach with wifi but nothing works this psp go through in long process to attach with wifi with computer we could not use it with phone and laptop in first instance we took this psp in high street even they said it will take time leave it for one day also charge 30 pound to do all and for downloading the games. So we decided to sent it back to the seller. It is really appriciated of seller they accept our request to sent it back and we got our refund in 5 days after post it back.Nina
