AMAZING beautiful fragrance! Taste clean and citrusy. Love it :-)
I was blown away when I opened the package and smelled the fragrance. It is so strong and so beautiful. It's clean, woodsy and lemony at the same time. I know it sounds strange, but it reminds me of good quality frankincense. The taste is clean and citrusy with that beautiful little tingly numbing sensation. I cannot wait to use these in a batch of homemade chili oil. Puts a smile on my face. This is very good quality product. Highly recommend.

Tingling sensation
The pro’s about this product are way too many to list, but I will tell you what I love about this Yimi Szechuan brand red pepper corns. As soon as I open the package the aroma is so very delicious, I just sit and enjoy it. Then we begin to mixing the best Szechuan into our pepper corn medley, without this mixture our dishes would not taste the same. I have been mixing the same two for over two years now. Everyone that has tasted our peppercorn mix has the same impression, and the same question. Where did you get this? So I tell them that we mix it ourselves one bag to one bag, that’s entirely up to you the more of the Szechuan you use the more flavor and heat you will have. I’m 66 and my mouth can’t take the extreme heat anymore, so 2.1oz to 12oz is hot enough for us, and the flavor is out of this world!

Good flavor & color
Flavor is bit on the weak side, but still good. Color is good too. There are more stems in the product than the seller's pictures shows, but that's not a big issue - especially if you're making chili oil. Another of the seller's pictures suggests that a recipe booklet is included. I did not receive one.The expiry date on my packet was 19 months from the date it arrived, which is much, much better than some of the other products I've ordered from Amazon's "gourmet foods" sellers.

Great product, keeps forever
I bought these as an ingredient for a cocktail (weird, I know), but have kept them around my house and use them for all sorts of dishes. I ground some to powder with a mortar and pestle and keep it on my spice rack, and also keep some in a pepper grinder too. It has an amazing smell, strong and nicely balanced with a citrus note.I used some to make a chili oil that came out SO GOOD. I have also used it in a handful of different Chinese dishes and it takes all of them a step up. This is definitely my go-to for Szechuan peppercorns. The expiration date was around 2 years from when I received it too, which is very nice because I don't have to hurry and use them or worry about tossing them.

Strong and numbing
Be sure to grind these up. The flavor is too strong if you dont. A few peppercorns flavors a giant wok full of food. It doesnt taste right if the peppercorns are whole so pulverizing them is important. Youll get the numbing and extra flavor. They arrived in one day.

Phenomenal peppercorns
Fairly new to Szechuan Pepper, this is really nice. It has a lightly floral and citrus aroma, and a beautiful red coloration. The flavor is heavily numbing, with clean lemony citrus notes, and light spice. Numbness lasted for about 5 minutes but it was all I could think about for the next hour, dreaming of the possibilities for this wonderful ingredient. Cannot wait to cook with these.

Better, but still not strong enough
Compared to other sources on Amazon, these are pretty good... fairly fresh and strong. But still no where CLOSE to the freshness and strength that I used to buy in Chengdu. The price is crazy high also, but I understand that to some degree. I wish someone would come up with a packaging technology that preserved the freshness better. This is the closest I've had so far in the US. Really nice flavor. I just have to use too much of the product to get the effect I want.
