Superb machine
Bought in Lockdown to replace my old Janome 1560 which had broken down for the 2nd time in 16 months and was 15 years old. This model is used on Sewing Bee and is great machine to use, very quiet and easy to get to grips with. It has an automatic buttonhole function, overcast stitch for seams and many other functions. Auto needle threader and a presser foot which can be adjusted for applique. Top loading style bobbin with horizontal reel holder which is sadly flimsy plastic. Janome is a Japanese brand and they do not provide the 2 year warranty, this is held by the seller. I do lots of dressmaking, charity sewing e.g. toilet bags, baby sheets, lavender bags and more recently face masks. I absolutely love this machine, so much more sophisticated than the old 1560. I highly recommend this machine, you will not be disappointed.

Great machine for a return to sewing person!
Quiet machine, decent weight but easy to carry. Bright light, a real bonus for me. Easy enough instructions to get you started. I love the automatic needle threader, a real help with my eyesight! I have returned to sewing after about 45 years and have picked it up again with ease with this lovely sewing machine. Glad I didn’t go for a cheaper machine as I can see this will suit all my needs and as I progress, it will be able to do everything I need it to.

Great Machine & Great Service
Having used an Italian machine for many years I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the plastic casing and carry case. The casing and machine are great, sturdy, instructions are really easy and I got straight on a finished some scrubs I was sewing during the pandemic. Case is a little odd as it doesn't actually clip to machine but I'm sure I'll get used to that. Great seller, prompt service, good info about delivery. Thank you

Reliable solid machine. Works like a dream
The machine is a reliable sewer. Lovely to work with. I did a bit of research before I bought this one, and it paid off. I use the machine for dressmaking, curtains and alterations. It is quite heavy but you don’t get any vibration which alters the tension, thankfully. The last upper threading notch is a bit finicky but Would totally recommend it.

Great machine - takes you beyond beginner with its functionality but so easy to use
It’s been almost 20 years since I used a sewing machine (and then I was only still a beginner) but have found this so easy to pick back up and already created a few different projects from cushions to clothes. Easy to set up and good selection of accessories.

A good machine for the price
It was finally time to replace my old Brother sewing machine (it was over 30 years old!) and I chose this because it was similar to that used on the 'Great British Sewing Bee'. I have been really pleased with its performance. Its much easier to use than my previous Brother model, rarely do I have to remove the fabric so sort out a problem and it copes well with heavy velvet fabric and finer viscose fabrics alike. All in all I would recommend this sewing machine.

Love my Janome machine
I bought this machine because it was the one used in my sewing classes and came heavily recommended. It is a high quality machine, reliable, sturdy and will last many years. I love all the accessories that came included and am really excited to improve my sewing skills with it. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Janome sewing machine
Bought a month ago to replace an old Riccar sewing machine. My wife seems v happy with it - it's a fairly straightforward electronic machine with not as many bells and whistles as some. She uses it for general domestic use, various repairs and adjustments of clothing items and sewing of new quilt panels etc. Bought because of good reviews and as used in Sewing Bee TV programme apparently. She is delighted with its performance.
