Lonely Planet Japan Planning Map

Great product love the feel of the string paper just a pity area we're not enlarged as the text is quite small in keeping with the overall size of the map but good to use as a reference

The map is only around A2 size, and because of the shape of Japan the country itself has to be reasonably small to fit on the sheet. The paper texture is great, though, as it is waterproof. Some handy travel time charts on there also and a selection of stickers. I'd agree with the name "Planning Map", as it is ideal for keeping on the wall to plan a trip around Japan rather than one to take with me on the trip.

Tiny little map and large stickers that in one go can obliterate an entire city.Good idea but it has failed in execution.Larger scale map of each main region would be more practical. Most visitors rarely venture beyond central Honshu so why include the whole country on one tiny little map?The stickers are a good idea but are too big and not easily reattached if you change your plans. This is supposed to be a planning map and not just a definitive final version.The red routes/ suggested travels are a distraction unless you are a tyro and you should, in any case, know better!Try the may helpful blogs appearing these days and plan to do what You want to do and not what the travel agent presumes

I bought this for my husband who is keen to visit Japan. The map is durable, easy to read and even has recommended itineraries. It comes with stickers to point out areas of interest and it is a good size. Perfect for planning a trip to Japan!

I brought this as a gift, it’s small and it’s cover in a plastic feel so will not rip
