Work well with black irrigation PE line
These work exceptionally well with 3/4" black polyethylene irrigation feed/distribution line bought at your local big box store, strongly suggest using Murray cinch clamps.

Good but sized smaller than advertised
This brand of valve is great, especially when used with a canister filter or pump on an aquarium. The reason I mark it low is because they are not 16mm as advertised. A 16/22 (16mm ID) hose is very loose and the spigot measures closer to 14mm. A 5/8" hose fits a little closer but still loose. A 1/2" hose will fit but super tight so you'll need to soak the tubing in hot water to get it to fit. The 3/4" version is closer to spec and I use those also, but it is a battle to get a 16mm hose over the barb even after soaking the hose in boiling water. They fit 3/4 vinyl or silicone hose perfect. The plus about all these valves is they are very smooth to operate unlike standard ball valves.

Perfect for closing off my livewell when not in use.
I have a flow through livewell with no means of closing it off when I'm not fishing. This means I am lugging around and least 300 lbs of water at all times. I installed a new aerator pump and while I was at it I installed this shutoff to prevent water from flowing into the livewell when not needed. The barbed ends fit perfect into a 3/4 id reinforced hose. I can now save some fuel and picked up some more fuel. Seems to be solid built and good value. Hopefully they last well.

Great. Fit my hoses no problem. Easy to install, easy to use.

Valves are good, but the barbs are oversized.
I used these on corrogated pond tubing and the barbs are WAY oversized. I slightly heated the tubing and used a water based lubricant to try to get the standard tubing on, and I could only get the tubing on about 1/8 past the first barb. If you have thick or reinforced tubing, I would not recommend these. If you have thin-wall tubing you'll be fine with some lubrication.
