The scales make a mess but good value for the money.
These have scales and make a mess. I had been purchasing the Beams Talls for my little (7 pound) Shih Tzu/Toy Maltese mix (and cutting them in half). He loves to chew and the Beams Talls were working great, but they are expensive. So I thought I would try these.Positive: I will say that it is a very large bag of skin treats, I was impressed at the cost-vs-quantity.Negative: These treats have fish scales and make a huge mess.Because it is summer, I just give them to my dog when he is outside. I am not sure what will happen this winter because I will probably still have them, there are so many in the bag. I will not buy them again.**UPDATE** After a couple of months with these treats, my appreciation of the long chewing time is slowly overriding the negative of the mess that they make. So far, these treats last longer than any other treat I have purchased (in terms of him finishing a treat in one sitting, not long-term things like bones or yak cheese). I am updating this review from 3 to 4 stars. These treats really are a good value for the price. BUT I probably won't buy them over the winter. :)

Best treats ever
Don't buy these unless you plan on buying these for life. I made the mistake of trying them out and now my dog is addicted to them. She knows the drawer I keep them in and will stand next to it patiently outlasting me until I finally cave and give her another one. In fact, when the bag ran out these were on back order from being sold out so she had to go a few days without her favorite treat. I am pretty sure she went through withdrawals and separation anxiety of not having them available. That being said, these are excellent treats my dog thoroughly enjoys, and leave minimal mess. They don't take long for her to eat, but do take a moment for her to chew. They last longer than a regular one bite treat, but not as long as a bone. I love spoiling my little girl, so I do not mind having to buy these the rest of my life to make her happy. I have attached a photo of her enjoying one as I write this review.

Healthy chew
I was looking for something healthy for my dogs to chew after eating, which wouldn't get stuck in their teeth and would take them a little time to finish. After buying a singular long salmon skin in the pet store, and seeing them very happily enjoying it, I decided I wanted more but they stopped carrying it. So...Amazon, here I come. I ordered 2 different varieties. Both were 100% skins. Both my dogs loved. But the other was a little more crispy, didn't last as long, and were smaller. These TickledPet Icelandic Cod skins were much longer, and not as brittle, so it allowed the dogs to chew on them a while before they were gone. The dogs love them and I feel they are healthier for them than rawhide made products, or big cookies, or added calories of solid meat, or doggie candy. Plus, they are getting good vitamins as well as using parts of the fish normally thrown away. Good for all. Hopefully the price will come down on fish skins or I'll start buying my own dehydrator.

Wonderful treat for my senior dog
The media could not be loaded. Well someone sure loves these treats. And Mama is very happy they don’t have any nasty fish smells. My 13 year old fur baby can’t chew hard treats like she used to and these fish treats really seem to work. I attached them to a hand held vice grip to help slow her down chewing and make sure she doesn’t swallow it whole. It also gives her an extra weight to help her tear pieces off which you can see in the video I attached. Mom and baby girl are very happy. Thanks

Quality one ingredient treats that are also nutritious
My Buddy has allergies, and most manufacturers put something in even the simplest treat he can't have...for instance 'natural flavouring' is often a chicken product..Bud's allergic to chicken. And grain! It is so nice to know I can give my adorable GSD these cod skin treats, which he loves, and are even good for him...win win! And not worry! He's lying at my feet under my desk as I write this, probably wondering if it's too soon after breakfast to ask me for one :)

Great treat
My dogs go crazy for their fish skin treats, however, the size is never consistent from bag to bag - they can be nice 6" pieces for a couple of bags then all of a sudden they are 10"long a as big around as a fat cigar. We really like the smaller sizeJust my opinion - thanks

Natural treat for dogs
My malamute loves these, they are dried strips of fish skin and they smell the part so your dog will love them and maybe you if you have ever gone fishing. I like being able to find a treat like this for my girl, the bag is quite a lot and lasts a few weeks if I give them to her sparingly. Get these! theyre better than buying the nonsense snacks like cookies and biscuits for your dog, people eat those dogs never did the whole golden crescent agriculture thing.

The jury is out...
This is the second bag we've bought of these. The first bag my dog was WILD about, would snatch them out of my hand and I was left to count how many fingers I had left. The second bag... she sniffs it and walks away. She did take one the other day but took a couple steps and dropped it on the floor and walked away. So... not sure what to say... loved the first bag, wants nothing to do with the second. For me, I probably won't buy again since there is another brand we've never had a problem with. I had such high hopes because these are more like a chewy treat that takes them longer to eat than the flat skins but dog treats are expensive so we'll stick with the others.
