Your kid can stop!
No directions to how to adjust it, but if you have common sense and mechanically inclined like me you need to screw in to just run some what light and snug on pad for stationary side and you may want to adjust again the one screw that is towards front just a smidge tighter after a ride to give pads slight Angel of friction to stop squeaking it incountered, it's a toy just play with it, but do at your own discretion!
