Will not work as described for more tablets or phones - please read for details. OK for OTG only
Giving it a two because, although well made, it will not perform as advertised (OTG cable and charge) with most tablets. Many tablets seeing an OTG cable connected will switch out the charging circuitry disallowing any charging (HP Windows tablet for one). The OTG cable function will work, however, in terms of being able to attach a flash drive for example (if you have the necessary plug-in, however, which is needed in many cases. An example being Nexus Media Importer for the Nexus 7 android tablet.) I will also add that just because your table shows an icon that says it is charging, does NOT mean it is actually charging! The only way to tell if your tablet is charging, and at what level, is by an inline ammeter (recommended in any case and sold here on Amazon). Even if you can get a particular rare tablet to actually charge while an OTG cable is attached, which can sometimes by done by some tricks (particular with Dell Window tablets), the charging current is typically very low, barely enough to maintain the current battery charge, if that. Sorry if all this seems complicated but that's the computer biz. For reference, I am an EE and have studied this problem in detail. Look for tablets that have a separate charging port and a separate USB port (like the Microsoft Surface or the old Motorola Xoom). These separate charging ports are more reliable further, but not as convenient and cost more to manufacture. Having said all this, you might decide that it is cheap enough to try - what the heck...

I would not recommend this product
I tried 3 of these Hubs. The (female) micro usb failed to work on all of them. I would not recommend this product.
