I use this for odor elimination in the litter box area. I put it in a mesh bag that is attached inside the litter box hood. It works great and is cheaper than the exact same product sold for odor elimination purposes. It isn't dusty, it's a great size, and super easy to use. Love it!

I didn’t buy this for aquatics but instead to use in my semi hydro mixture for my plants. I was happily surprised with the size of the jar considering I only paid $3. For me its a great value for the money spent. It wasn’t too dusty but I suggest rinsing it through a strainer. I paid the same price for activated carbon which came in a much smaller jar. It will definitely be enough for a few plant starters or repots mixed in with my semi hydro substrate. (Photos next to a Pepsi can for size reference)

Use this in our rabbit crate to control odors and in our cats litter box it cuts down on the smell real well.
