Blazing Saddles (4K Ultra HD + Digital) Steelbook [4K UHD]

I had no issues playing this on all my 4K players. This is the best picture and sound quality I ever experienced with this movie. Highly recommended.

Love this movie when it first came out, and I still have the same reactions every time hilarious.

This is an all-time great classic and I look forward to seeing the 4K version to seeing if the video quality is as good as the content, but I don’t even have this yet

Arguably Mel Brooks best work ever. Some may say Young Frankenstein is superior in style, but given the amount of laughs per minute in this masterpiece, if I could only own one of his movies, this would be the one I’d choose.

I suspect that some people today might feel they have at least some initial difficulty trying to access just what this movie has to say about racism in today’s terms. And some may shy from its ludicrously and outrageously exaggerated stereotyping (for comedy’s sake) as being possibly too offensive. But, I’d say the context of understanding might be everything with this movie and, within such, the message here shouldn’t be missed.Brooks knew that all he needed to point out to us was that the ‘Emperor of Racism’ was not wearing any clothes. And it’s actually a message fit for any age and for any people. And by Brooks throwing in everything and the kitchen sink (gays, hispanics, midgets, whites, blacks, indians, etc) he runs circles around the underlying silliness that all such arguments of division are ultimately based on. After all: if none of us have the right to be here, then all of us have the right to be here…! Brooks managed to pull everyone aside on a national level at a time of heightened racial tensions and remind us that laughter really can be the best medicine of all. A masterpiece.A Landmark Mel Brooks film!
