Would not connect to my TV using the included directions, but paired right away through the Fire TV app.

This is a great replacement remote for your Fire Stick. My main purpose for replacing my old remote was to gain a volume control, which is replacement remote has. It was easy to setup and seems to be working great, so far.

Easy to pair, works just like the original.

Please let me know if you have had this issue and it was resolved. So it turns out our problem can't be fixed by a simple replacement remote and technical support gave up on our issue and hung up on us. Way to go Amazon! Our story goes like this. We travel around Florida in our RV so we use our Hotspot for wifi (this isn't unusual in the RV world.) A hurricane was coming so we took what we could and left the RV at the campground while we took refuge in a hotel. Of course we brought our Firestick and remote to plug into the TV so we weren't at the mercy of the limited hotel channels. It worked great! The problem happened when we left the remote at the hotel room, but they said they didn't have it when I called. So we bought this remote to replace it. Now for the catch 22! To pair the new remote, the firestick needs to be online. To get the firestick online we need a remote to be able to navigate to settings. Do you see the problem? If you didn't know already, the firestick will try to connect to the last wifi it was connected to which would be the hotel that is quite far away since we were escaping a hurricane. Apparently, Amazon didn't plan for this scenario so there is no solution. Since they didn't have a solution, they stopped giving a crap and hung up after having us try various solution that didn't work for 40 minutes. If you have read this far, then you might have had the same issue. Heed my warning and don't think you can fix your problem with just buying this replacement. You might have to just buy a completely new firestick and start from scratch. That's one way for Amazon to get more of your $$$, i guess.

Works ok. Doesnt seem to have as much range as the original. Battery life is good.

Easy to connect to my current fire stick. This was to replace a missing controller, they tend to go missing every 6 months in the house.

Put in batteries & worked immediately. Great Product!

Bought 2 remotes because my dog will chew one once in a while. Both stopped working after about 6 months. I will reset the remote then it will stop working after an hour. Sounds like a built in problem.
