Pleasant and strong smelling peppermint essential oil
The 30 ml bottle spider repellant peppermint oil is basically an essential oil marketed as a spider repellant. As such it can be used in a diffuser as well as mixed with water and put into a spray. Because it is marketed in this way and there is little further information I guess one cannot be sure about its purity however it is described as naturally sourced. The aroma of the oil is very pleasant and actually stronger then some other peppermint essential oils we have had. Assuming you like peppermint and given it is a harmless way of deterring spiders, in my opinion this is a much better option that using insect sprays or other more toxic alternatives. For me, the questions about this product are first the cost and secondly the fact that one does not know how pure this oil is. I say this because pure peppermint essential oils that are produced by steam distillation (which this one may be too, given that there is no information about its manufacture) can be purchased more cheaply, and given that one knows about their purity and the health giving property of peppermint oil, one could use them for other purposes too, such as mixed with face creams, etc. You may not wish too, but you know you safely can!In relation to the cost, pure peppermint essential oil can by bought from the Amazon site for a good deal less even for larger quantities than this 30ml bottle, however, as stated earlier, the strength of the essence is very good with this version so it may go further per volume used than some.In summary, the product provides a strong and pleasant peppermint smell and should work as a spider deterrent, which is what it is being marketed for, though it is perhaps a little expensive.Overall I feel that 4 stars is a fair rating.

Worked out
I recently had a spider problem in my home, particularly near the windows, corners and bathroom. I wanted to avoid using harsh chemicals, so I chose to use PestOil Home Spider Peppermint Oil. I combined a few drops with water in a spray bottle and put it to the typical spider sites. The peppermint scent was light and refreshing, with no overbearing notes. What shocked me was how effective it was—within a few days, I observed far fewer spiders! I also put some in my diffuser, which helped keep them away while making the house smell wonderful. I also used it on the patio before a cookout, and it worked great there.I like that it's a eco-friendly, natural solution that's good for the environment, so I don't feel bad about using it frequently. If you're looking for a spider repellent that actually works and smells good, I definitely recommend giving this a try!

Nice smell
I am a fan of Peppermint Oil for aromatherapy and have tried many makes. This one being marketed as being for deterring spiders had me wondering if it's the usual essential oil or whether something else has been added specifically for this task. Having received the oil it does seem like an ordinary Peppermint essential oil, just packaged as a spider deterrent. It is nice smelling but there isn't much information about whether it's a 100% pure, undiluted oil, whether it's lab tested, etc, which I usually look for when intending to use in massage. Peppermint oil is known for being a pest repellent, and this covers rats, mice, etc., so this will be a multiuse product and it does smell a lot nicer than chemical sprays that will probably kill the beastie! At 30ml in size, it makes about 12 litres of diluted product which you then spray around all the nooks and crannies where spiders enjoy lurking. The bottle has a good dropper and works well. Overall it appears to be a normal essential oil and on that basis, it is a bit pricey, but it's nice and does the job, so I've marked it down 1 star based on the cost alone.

Strong smelling. Premium added because of the word "pest"
This pest oil is just a mix of essential oils that spiders (and incidentally wasps) don't like. It smells very strongly of peppermint oil in particular. There are lots of sources online claiming that these particular oils are effective. I've not personally been able to corroborate them as of yet. It's very easy to use. Add a few drops to a spray bottle full of water and go nuts. This 30ml bottle of essential oil is selling for £8.49, showing as reduced from £9.99, at the time of this review. You can buy the exact same stuff without the word "pest" on the box for a lot less.

Spider vs Man!
Man victorious! This was given to a colleague at work, who suffers from arachnophobia to a crippling extent, and I felt as we work in a semi-rural environment, it would perhaps be of benefit. Upon receipt of this, and on returning home, he encountered not one, but four fair sized spiders on the ground floor of his home. So, directly after his wife showed the spiders the door (told you it was bad!), he set to prepare the oil as prescribed - adding a few drops extra insurance! Using a spray bottle, he applied the solution along the floor, where it meets the wall, to every room in his house (again...). In the fortnight since application, he swears (and he should know) he hasn't seen a single spider in his home! What more? Well, a little more, in that he brought the solution to work to treat his work area, with the same results! It would be fair to say he is entirely knocked out by the product - he estimates he has sufficient for a further few applications, then he'll be back for more. He insists the asking price is nothing short of a bargain, especially considering the positive effect it has had in both work and home lives! Gives his wife a break too!
