Essential product for Diabetics
Exactly what we needed. After being diabetic for 15+ years, constantly forgetting if he'd injected already, and when, this product takes all the memory issues and guesswork away. Amazing and very helpful 5*****

Simple to use and removes doubt about the time of your last dose.
Very useful device which tells you when you last used your insulin pen. Great for stopping any doubt or mix ups as to wether or not you took your dose. Its a lid for your insulin pen which you use instead of the lid provided with the pen. It has a display which counts the seconds, minutes and hours since you last removed the lid. Once the lid is replaced, the counter goes back to zero again. Tells you when you last used it. Very simple and effective.

Genuinely changed my life for the better
This product has helped me so much. I was often forgetting to write down the time I took it. This is the most useful product I think Iv ever brought and I’m so happy with it. I now recommend it to everyone I know that takes insulin. It has genuinely changed my life and for the better

Little life saver
I have just been diagnosed with diabetes and have to take insulin injections. I also take lots of other medications, which alone are difficult to keep on top of. This will make things easier for me. All you have to do is replace the lid of your insulin pen with this, and the clock starts straight away.

A life saver
Essential for insulin injectors who have gone ever so slightly dotty. You would think it would be easy to remember if you had injected a few hours ago, but after the first thousand times or so...It is actually a brilliant and safe device. It doesn't show time but counts up from zero in hours and minutes so you can tell the last time used.I'm a bit concerned the battery cannot be replaced so after about a year a new pen would have to be purchased. I do not consider this to be reasonable nor fair treatment of customers and adds to a throw away society. But it could save your life, so...

Great item but....
This is a great timer for me. Works perfectly and looks well. Enquired about battery time and discovered that when the battery runs out you need to buy a new unit.By pure coincidence I dropped my pen and the white cover popped off and behold there is a battery just under the cover.I reassembled the unit and all is fine.Again great product.

Handy but potential e-waste
Bought two of these, one for my Novorapid and one for my Levemir pens. Using them is simplicity itself, you activate the cap by pulling out the plastic tab and then place it on your pen instead of the standard pen cap. A small digital display then starts counting the time off since the pen cap was placed on the pen, the idea being that you can see at a glance when you last removed the pen cap and thus, when you last injected. From the above perspective that is all very handy. What is not so handy is that they designed this item so that after a year or so when the battery runs out you have to throw it away and buy another one. I can see that they did this in order to provide a revenue stream but it means just more waste as it's a combination of hard plastic, battery and LCD display which you'd have to disassemble in order to recycle the battery and plastic yourself. It would have been much more environmentally friendly to design it with a replaceable battery to prevent this problem.Yes you can in theory replace the battery yourself. You need to prize the two parts of the pen cap apart with a screwdriver in order to break the adhesive. You can then access the battery (an LR1130) to replace it yourself. You then need to tape the two parts together again although the result isn't as satisfactory as the original product, hence 3 stars.
