My go-to waterproof jacket
Waterproof, windproof, lightweight, versatile. Velcro on the wrists keeps your arms dry and warm. The adjustable elasticated wind-block hem is lower at the back to keep your backside from getting wet.The new hood design has a protruding peak and side baffles that give you added protection from the wind and rain and fits snugly into the collar. The close mesh zip glides smoothly and blocks wind and rain more effectively than the older version.I agree with other reviewers that the sizes are very generous, I find the XL just too roomy so opted for the L which is roomy enough for a chunkier fleece. This is my second Peter Storm waterproof jacket, my first one is still going strong but showing it’s age after 6 years of all season use so I thought it was about time to get a new one.Over the years I’ve had various well known brands of waterproof jackets; most costing over £150 but I keep going back to this jacket as it does the same job (it’s also mesh lined) and it only cost me £33.96!The jacket looks smart and the material is wrinkle free so it does not look as if you’ve been sleeping in it.Don’t be put off by the low price. This a well designed and excellent quality jacket.

Nice lightweight rain proof jacket
I was looking for a lightweight, rainproof jacket to keep handy for those unexpected showers, I stumbled upon this gem. Perfect for quick errands or a brisk dog walk on rainy days, this jacket fits the bill without breaking the bank. Its lightweight design makes it easy to carry around, and the stowable hood is a convenient feature, easily accessed with Velcro attachments. I appreciate being able to slip the hood on without taking off the jacket—a small detail that adds to its practicality. However, there are some downsides to note. The Velcro used to secure the storm flap and cuffs may wear out with prolonged use, potentially compromising the jacket's durability over time. While I would have preferred sturdier poppers for these functions, I understand the cost considerations involved.Overall, this jacket serves its purpose well for brief outdoor ventures, keeping me dry without weighing me down. It's not built for heavy-duty use, but for the price and convenience, it's a solid choice.

Jacket has good features, but the material is too heavy
I was delighted when I saw this jacket on the Amazon website, as I’d wanted to replace my older worn version, but one shop I tried said it was no longer available. My 12-year-old version had got somewhat tattered, it was no longer waterproof, and the zip no longer worked 100%. I liked it because it was nice and light, had an integrated hood, and was waterproof. Unfortunately, now I have it I see that it has the hood and is waterproof, but the material has changed, and is much heavier. I used it as a summer jacket, and it being light was a big factor in this. But the new heavier material now makes the jacket not so amenable to summer wear, and is almost a rival now to my bigger winter coat. For this reason, I’ve only given a 4, otherwise it would be a 5+.

Great value, well made and good fit.
I'm really happy with this. I am 6' tall and slim build and the medium fits me perfectly, even with thick jumper/fleece on. It also is a decent length so just about covers yer bum which is a good thing.I have bought a couple of Peter Storm items inthe past - a thick winter jacket and some hiking boots and was very impressed with their build quality, and this is no exception. And the blue is a great colour.

Amazing lightweight protection
This is my third iteration of this jacket over the last 15 years, usually because I’ve found the same on sale or needed a different size.Great waterproof quality, keeps you dry and the roll away hood helps keep it slim and not bulky.Very lightweight and cool material for summer down falls when the weather is humid and still keeps you dry. Can’t recommend enough other than personally the sizes seem to come up bigger than anticipated (when I was generally wearing Medium I needed a small size, when I put some weight on and was wearing generally large clothes I needed a medium in this), if you’re wearing thick bulky clothing underneath it such as hoodies or jumpers then this might impact your size decision but I’ve only ever worn it with t shirts due to the intended purpose of if being lightweight and not a winter coat

Excellent
I love this jacket. I trudged for eight hours in heavy pouring rain and remained dry and comfortable. Breaths well and the right level of warmth for spring and autumn. The large size is generous, allowing for layering if needed. Good size zippered pockets. What's not to like!

Great jacket
This is the second one my son has had. Last one was bought about 4 years ago. It’s still ok but of course is out of action for washing and re proofing. He was so pleased we could get an identical one. It’s waterproof has secure zipped pockets and a bit longer at the the back. Also has a hood. A very good jacket and at an amazing price.

Colour is a lot darker than the photo on Amazon
Just be aware, Colour is a lot darker than the photo on Amazon. It's more like a very matted dark blue. Disappointed. Size and fit were fine though. Item delivered to wrong address, was disappointing too. Haven't tested it's waterproof durability yet. It it's rubbish I'll be sending it back
