Using it every day and It’s been a solid little upgrade from my old one.
First thing I noticed was how easy it was to set up paired with my Mac Mini M4 in seconds and hasn’t dropped the connection once. Sound?, it’s better than I expected for the price. Vocals come through really clearly, and it gets loud enough to fill a small room without sounding distorted. The bass isn’t super deep, but turning on BassUp definitely gives it a bit more punch, especially for casual listening. If I had to nitpick, I’d say it lacks that “wow” factor if you’re really into music and want booming bass or super crisp detail, you’ll probably want something more expensive, but for background music, Podcasts, Desktop Speaker or just something reliable to carry around, it does the job really well. Overall, I’d say it’s a great value speaker 9/10 and worth it if you’re on a budget and want something simple that works quite well.

Hardy little speaker
This thing is extremely durable, I was painting and I dropped it into the paint, knocked off the ladder somehow, and true to form it lands in the paint, took it out washed it and the sound was just as good, it’s portable enough to carry around and for its size it’s a good little speaker, it’s mainly in my shower as it’s waterproof and the battery life is great, setting it up is simple, I mean it’s just Bluetooth turn it on and your phone should see it, I stream from Spotify to it no issues and it has an extra bass setting which I turn off as my Spotify is set to quite a bass heavy sound, if you’re after a good value, hard wearing waterproof speaker highly recommended

The perfect, no-fuss desk speaker! Delivers on all fronts.
I've been on the hunt for a new speaker for a while, looking to replace an older (and overly flashy) RGB Sony speaker without breaking the bank. My needs were simple: I wanted something compact for my desk that had good bass, clear sound for calls, and was just simple to use. This Soundcore Select 2S has turned out to be the perfect solution. My main use for this is as a permanent speaker for my secondary computer, which I use for work. This means it's handling everything from listening to music on Spotify, watching YouTube videos, and being the main audio output for my Zoom and Google Meet calls. For this, it is flawless. The 20W stereo sound is surprisingly rich and clear. The clarity is excellent for voice calls and YouTube videos, with no tinniness at all. When I switch to music, the "BassUp" technology really does its job, providing a punchy, satisfying bass that I was missing from my old speaker. It's a great all-rounder. It's also incredibly simple. It's compact and sits discreetly on my desk, it connected via Bluetooth instantly, and the 16-hour playtime is a huge bonus, as I don't need to have another wire permanently plugged in, which keeps my desk setup clean. The IPX7 waterproofing is just a nice bit of peace of mind against accidental coffee spills. My only "nice to have" would have been a 3.5mm aux port, just for a wired connection to the PC, but the Bluetooth is so stable that it's not an issue, and for this price, I am absolutely not dropping a star for it. I know there's another popular model (the Soundcore 2, I think), but this Select 2S is everything I was looking for. If you need a simple, compact, great-sounding, and affordable speaker for your home office, desk setup, or just for general listening, I can't recommend this enough. It's a 5-star product all day long.

Very Good At Its Price Point
It's a very good value for money bluetooth speaker with some good eq options via the app. Battery life seems pretty good with a run time so far of 10hrs and I've not recharged it yet so the estimated run time looks about right. Speaker is quite smart looking with good weight. The overall sound quality is very good. It doesn't have that low down "oomph" that others have mentioned and as speakers evolve over the years and cost invariably come down and tech gets better, that's my only disappointment, the low end response is average. However, if you can position this speaker near a corner or underneath a shelf a few inches away from the wall, then that helps a great deal. I can make a direct comparison with a Jam Heavy Metal speaker that I had for many many years and that had a lot less output wattage wise than this Select 2S but sounded far more punchy and because of that, it felt louder. Anyway, value for money this is a very very good speaker but don't expect disco thumping bottom end.

Excellent - Value for money, connectivity, sound quality and size
Good little speaker. Sound quality for price is on par - not as good as my previous high end but does the job exactly as it says on the tin! I’ve played music on it, not something I would use it for but does the job very well. Connected to TV - connectivity - suggest those of you who may be like me - google to establish adding the speaker to your Bluetooth selection. Once I finally worked out Bluetooth connected meant my stand in speaker I “asked” tv to find other devices, added and all boxes ticked! Powers off when TV goes to standby so energy efficient. Connected to iPhone immediately. Connected to HP laptop immediately Volume controls - simplicity. Robust casing - I googled where power supply went (maybe my age 😂) Power/charge Lead is plenty long enough for my purpose Portable with areas which feel rubberised so good if you have grip issues Not tested run without power lead time - it’s unlikely to be required for outdoor use by myself Excellent value for money - more than happy to recommend

Lovely little speaker with a nice, though small, sound.
Tidy little speaker that has a nice tone, is easy to set up and use and represents good value. It doesn't have a big enough sound to use it at parties, but for a bit of music in the kitchen or out in the garden it does just fine. It doesn't pound out the bass, but what do you expect from a speaker whose footprint isn't much bigger than a smartphone? I am not sure about the Soundcore app, but as I seem to be able to use the speaker just fine without it, it is probable that I'll uninstall it soon.

lovely quality speaker
Fantastic sound for such a small speaker. extra bass boost (though it really doesn't need it)🤷♂️😁 nominal distortion at full blast. so simple to connect & easy to adjust/ equalise the sound if you connect with the app. great that it's waterproof too.

Poor sound. No bass. Overpriced
For an expensive (€40) mini bluetooth speaker, the sound is atrocious. Very thinny, no bass. No wide stereo sound. Very enclosed small sound even at max volume and bass boost on. This is the updated version with better spec of 20Watts - No way it's that. Maybe 10W at a push! I've heard way better from cheaper no-name brands. I bought this expecting more from Anker with that price tag. Not worth it. Look elsewhere!
