Nicely made, does what it's advertised to do . . .
Nothing wrong with this item. It fits well, does exactly what it claims to do, and is nicely made. The biggest issue is nothing to do with this item - it's the design of the console in the 2022 GTI.I have a similar item in my pickup. Works wonderfully. Gives me a place to store/organize coins, frequently needed items, and access them easily. The location of the storage bin in the GTI makes access very difficult. You cannot easily see inside of the storage area from the driver's seat without contorting yourself into a positon that is far from ideal when driving. Retrieving an item while driving by "feel" can be difficult, meaning you have to lift the tray out, and potentially end up with stuff scattered around the cabin when it invariably tips over. So my 4-star review has more to do with the functionality of the item in the GTI then in the item itself.
