Still on par with some of the recently released as of Sept 2025 (dji, x5, max 2)... Can't wait for KanDao's next release.

Caveat: I bought this for still photos, not video. The camera seems nice, if heavy, but the overall execution is difficult to manage compared to, say, insta360s offerings. The low light performance is no better than the insta360 X2 and noticeably worse than the insta360 RS 1” 360. It’s heavier than both the other two as well. 8K seems enticing until you find out the quality of the photos is less than a 6K image from the RS 1”. As for post processing, it takes 10-15 minutes per image to get a decent HDR, compared to 15-20 seconds using Insta360 software, which can also process in bulk. I can’t imagine a use case where this camera would excel over others in the market for still photos. I have not used it enough for videos to comment on its performance in that area. Note: I recently damaged my RS 1” 360 at an event and had hoped the large-ish sensor on the ultra would be enough to produce quality images. While it is comparable to the small sensor offerings of competitors, the still photos don’t show any marked advantage offered by the slightly larger sensor and it is nowhere near the 1” sensor class, despite the newer technology and online reviews extolling its virtues.

I recommend this camera. CONS: Battery life is not great and the protective lenses don’t stay on easily. I now power the camera from an external power source and I make sure the protective lenses and really crammed on nice and tight. Avoid using this in low-light situations. PROS: The image is great in daylight, the functionality is solid. The computer application gets updated on a regular basis with helpful features. I am very pleased with the video stabilization capabilities. It has withstood outside temperatures in excess of 95 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m on my second one of these. The first rode an extension pole on top of my truck for 3,000 miles before the suction mount failed and the camera was dragged for 1,000 feet by the safety tether. Even then, once a fresh battery was thrown in, it still worked. If the lens protectors had stayed on, I might still be using it.

This is an amazing camera for the price! I use it for my biking adventures when I want to capture cool 360 shots for social media. The quality is very sturdy and well built. While it is a little heavier, it does exactly what I need, which is stabilized videos when I am riding. When I use this camera at night, I am surprised at how well it captures 360 in low light environments without any issues. The video is still very sharp and clear. Having extra batteries part of the pack is also really useful. I often times use the camera on my bike, and while charging the spare. Overall this is a well-built 360 action camera, and worth it for the cost!

Love this camera and free Qoocam Studio 2 software. Everything an amateur VR or 360 photographer needs. One change is NEEDED! The tripod screw socket is so thin that any force applied from a mount (like a helmet, bike, motorcycle, car, or selfie stick) is likely to break the screw socket off the camera sending it flying. See photo Design suggestions: 1. increase the wall thickness of the socket by 2 mm. 2. Enlarge the hole in the plastic fan guard at the bottom of the camera to allow the larger walled socket to pass through 0.2 mm beyond flush to make a solid, break resistant mount.

Camera is amazing, the QooCam Studio software is horribly limited and years away from a finished product.

QooCam3にはレンズキャップが付いてくるのに、なぜかコチラにはついて来ない不思議。 別売りで良いから入手できる様にして欲しい。※わざわざ3Dプリントするの面倒。。 カメラ自体は、ふと気が付くとアップデートされていて、進化を感じられて良いです。 画質も良いし、シングルレンズモードも便利だし、比較的高温になっても頑張るのが気に入ってます。そう2台目です。 ライブストリーミングできる様になるのは、いつの日か？と心待ちにしています。※最初そう言ってた。

世はインスタ360ばかり評価されるが、このカメラはインスタ360X4より優れている 8k30fpsは今となっては普通のスペックだが、1番の売りは熱停止しない事 冷却ファンを内蔵しているので音声収録に影響を与えるが、別録ならば問題無い 暗所撮影にも強く、10bitHDR録画は素晴らしい 短時間VR動画ならばインスタ360でも良いが、長時間録画で停止はあり得ない使い方をされる方に強くお勧めします 無料の編集ソフトが使いにくいのが難点
