Think Crucial Replacement for Dyson DC27 & DC28 Hose Assembly, Compatible With Part # 916547-01

When connecting the hose to the vacuum for the first time, you will need to apply extra firm pressure at the bottom hose fitting. It's a tight fit because it's new. Make sure it's seated, slide it in place, push, push a little harder and...Click. Works better than new. The wand now glides into place and doesn't get stuck when pulled out.

This product was defective. Came with two receptacles and one of these was defective and will not snap into the vacuum as the receptacle will not fit properly. No directions came with this product on how to replace so I put it aside for a couple of months until I had time to RESEARCH how to remove and replace. By this time the 30 day window had past and now I am out $25 and unemployed so not happy. I am hoping this company will allow me to do an exchange after the window. If they do I will write another review. ( I purchased it because the although the existing one does work, it is very rigid and hard to use to vacuum stairs. I wanted this one because reviewers reported that it was more flexible and less rigid.) Since I cannot use it I have no idea whether it would have been easier.

Fits my Dyson Animal vacuum but man was it a pain to get attached to the vacuum. I was ready to strangle the vacuum with the new house it was so difficult.I gave it 4 stars because I am noticing that the attachments do not fit directly onto the hose. But the quality of the hose seems fantastic and that is should last. My last Dyson hose lasted 5 years.

We've only had this replacement product from Crucial Vacuum for a week or so. It fit perfectly right out of the box & we vacuumed a bit. It'll be a while before we really know if it'll last a while. We hope it does. We were surprised that the original hose for this Dyson vacuum cleaner didn't last very long to begin with. Plus the design is poor as well. It streaches quite a bit until you turn the vacuum on then it shrinks back down. If you pull on it you have to take the whole vacuum with you. Further it's a fairly heavy machine too. Not very good to have to haul up or down stairs.

Only lasted 1 year, but cheap enough to be a consumable.

This is great for the price if your un a bind but when I went to use my additional attachments they do not fit on the hose and attach to it. I use all of my attachments so this makes it hard. This is the 2nd hose I've replaced I may go ahead and get the Dyson brand so it will fir the attachments. It does fit into the vacuum parts but not th attachments which is weird to me. You can still use it if you hold it just right, but becomes difficult!

Returning to Amazon. My Dyson DC27 factory attachments (crevice tools, dust brushes, upholstery tools and wands) will not lock into place on this replacement hose. This was not a problem on the original factory hose. Note: Although the attachments do fit into the hose, they do not go deep enough to engage the lock mechanism even when applying a good amount of force.

Perfect fit! It snapped right into place with a secure sounding "CLICK" and a complete seal. Has worked wonderfully since I installed it!

Dyson make great vacuum cleaners but I was surprised how quickly the hose developed a split in it which lessened the vacuums effectiveness. I thought I would try this replacement hose and it hasProven to be as good or better than the original. It latches and seals perfectly.

After 13-14 months it split again, exact replacement but exactly the same issues.

As any Dyson DC28 owner knows, the weakest link is the hose - it tears every couple of years. An original Dyson part lasts that long. I tried to save $20 with this alternative. I ignored the fact that it does not fit the accessories well, but the attachment to the main wand broke in less than two months. Hardly worth the $20 saved. Ordered a genuine Dyson part for $70 as you should, from a vendor named Hardy Vacuum in Canada. If you are in the US as I was, Parts Warehouse has the original part as well, for around $50 USD.

Would order again

I had the same problem as most reviews. The hose did not fit other attachments well. Just did not use them. Now the clips at the top of the replacement hose have broken away from the wand. I believe I purchased this about two years ago. Will spend the extra money and purchase my next one from Dyson as it lasted 9 + years
