Exceptional Headphones with great sound and build quality.
At first I was a little skeptical about buying headphones with the name "Fanny Wang". Then I received the product, and that though instantly went out of my head. These headphones blew my mind. First off, you can't even compare them to anything made by Beats by Dre. They blow those headphones out of the water. Second, for 250.00, they sound pretty darn good, and i'll get to that in a second.DESIGN: 10/10: I'm not much of a person for buying headphones based on design. They sound good, I'll buy them. But these headphones are just GREAT. The headphones first off feature a rubber-ish feature matted on to plastic. I really liked this, as fingerprints would not show up, unlike glossy finish headphones. Also the texture of them. They have these really cool patterns on them, that really compliment the look.COMFORT: 10/10: Big thing for me. If headphones are not comfortable I will not wear them. But these headphones, are some of the most comfortable I have ever worn. First off the ear cups. Oh my God, these things are fluffy. Like two pillows around your ears. Second, we have the headband. It is VERY nice. The finish on it doesn't stick to your hair, like some other headphones. And it is nicely padded to prevent uncomfortable use. Like seriously, again it's like having a pillow across your head.BUILD QUALITY: 10/10: First off let me say this is also a very important aspect for me when buying headphones. The Fanny Wang over ear 2003's are VERY well built. Better then anything I have ever used. The headband is flexible and the earcups AND folding hinges are well built and sturdy. Very nice there.SOUND: 9.5/10: Now, the most important thing to me when buying headphones is SOUND. And these things really didn't impress me at first. But when I popped those batteries in, and flicked the switch to ON, they ROCKED, literally ROCKED my music world. Everything is clear and crisp, and you can hear everything in the song. HIGHS: 10/10: Very nice highs. Great, awesome. Nothing wrong with it, I have played over 100 different songs and the highs sound equally epic. MIDS: 10/10: Mids are good. Enough said. Nothing wrong with it, nothing anywhere near problematic. Great mids. BASS: 9/10: Now the bass, what all you have been waiting for. The bass, i'm sorry to say is pretty absent. WITH the switch flipped to ON. When you flick the switch over to BASS BOOST, the bass instantly get 100x better, and man, when they say bone shaking, they really do mean. Holy God, there is alot of bass. and it's not Muddy either. The Bass is quick, crisp, and clean. It doesn't overwhelm other parts of the sound spectrum, and keeps everything in balance. Great bass.OVERALL: 9/10 on the Headphone scale. There ARE better headphones, only if you are willing to pay 200 dollars more and sacrifice your build quality and your comfort. But for 250.00 these are very VERY nice headphones, and I do HIGHLY recommend them to everyone looking for professionally built, great sounding headphones.

Decent pair of headphones depending on how cheap you can manage to get them
I was in the market for some new headphones and my friend had recommended these Fanny Wangs. See said he preferred them over the Beats by Dre, which are commonly said to be over priced for what they are. I was looking into all brands, from Sennheiser to Bose to V-Moda. I decided to take a shot on these Fanny Wang 2003's strictly based on their cheap price of $99 as opposed to their retailed $250. Worth a shot right? I had high hopes for them when I received the package. Then came my doubt. I took the Fanny Wang box out of the shipping box and immediately noticed that the writing on the Fanny Wang box was white instead of the blue I had seen in unboxing videos. Maybe they changed their boxes I thought. I then proceeded to remove the outer cover and found that the actual box part of the packaging was severely damaged. I then began to worry quite a bit. Did I just spend $100 for a fake pair of headphones? I powered through to the headphones themself and examined them with great attention to detail. I immediately noticed the clip on the carrying case was different from the ones ive seen on every other case in unboxing and review videos. But once I got to the headphones I calmed down a little bit. The headphones, at least from what I can see, appear to be the real deal. They came with all the proper accessories and the duo jack cable. They are made of all the proper materials and all the details match up properly. And most importantly they sound good. They produce a very clear sound and turning the amp on really gives them a little extra something. When you turn the bass boost on you are met with a respectable amount of bass but it will by no means blow your mind. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I don't know about you but I don't want a headache from the constant pounding of a bass in my ear. So yes, they sound good. Do they sound great? That opinion could vary from individual to individual. Can you get better sounding headphones? Yes. Can you get cheaper better sounding headphones? Yes. But the whole selling point of these headphones is their style. These are very stylish headphones. They are exceptionally bulky though. They sit very wide once they are on the head. But since these will be used mainly for relaxing around the house and passing time during plane rides and long trips in the car that is not a deal breaker for me. In all honesty I could care less what the condition of the box is or if the clip on the case is correct so long as the headphones themselves are real and sound good. From my examinations these headphones are real. And they do sound good. I rated this product 4 stars though for two reasons. The first being that the packaging it arrived in was very damaged and they could, in fact, sound better. The second reason is because the audio jack on one end of the duo jack cable is sitting slightly crooked; which for somebody like me, who pays attention to every detail, can be annoying. Overall though, this product is worth a shot at the relatively low price of $100.

Great....for the first 2 weeks....
I've used mine for a little over 2 weeks now...and well...the amp died....when i go to turn on my bass booster...the feedback is awful and is an obnoxious constant ringing....This is from less then 40 hours of music....I have to return them just because the quality just isn't worth the 80$ i spent on them. truly disappointed.....

Do Not Buy!!! Broken and not worth the money!
I opened this product seconds after recieving it from ups. The shipping was on time and as paid for. The box was unharmed and was packed nicely because of amazon. I open the product and everything seem ok untill i place the headset on its side to install the AAA batteries that are required for Bass boost. The chrome headset side plate fell off like a six year old glued them on, the screws holding it on were probably screwed too tight. ok so obviously the hardware is kind of cheap but i have the option to replace them for a new pair so i plug them in to test the quality, thats what really counts is the sound. sigh... this is not any better, when turning on the drivers you hear a mild hum similar to am frequency.. and the bass boost is not a change at all. You actually get a moderatly decent sound with the extras all turned off which is very disapointing. Overall these headphones are WAY over priced, my pair of Plantronics Gamecons were like 50 bucks from best buy and lasted 3 years. these i paid over 215 for and are not worth a dime. PLEASE do not make this mistake! I also video recorded the entire opening and deboxing if the manufacturer has a problem with this review.
