I have never used Mirin before but wanted it for a new recipe that I wanted to try. I bought this variety as I hadn't been able to find one in a supermarket that was just pure Mirin not a Mirin sauce with all sorts of other ingredients in. This product only contains - sweet rice, water and cultured rice. On the bottle it says 'Produced to a traditional recipe and carefully aged for 2 years'.It really gave my new recipe a great depth of flavour and slight sweetness with just a tablespoon added. A real winner. I will buy it again.

Good flavour tho size a bit small as I use quite a lot so would buy larger would recommend tho
