Upon opening the package it had a bad stench. I opened one of the bags and it also had a bad stench. I had to throw it all away, do not waste your money!

Filling and organic!
This is good shiritaki rice. If you've had it before you know that it should be rinsed before cooking. Its not quite as smelly as other konjac I've had which is pleasant. I made five spice hot dog fried rice with it and it was tasty. I prefer dried konjac rice but this is good. ๐

If you HAVE to have your rice but without the calories, carbs...this one is it!
This is a perfect "filler" alternative ADD-ON for those of us who are keeping things low-er carb but still wanting our rice! Keep in mind this does not taste exactly like real rice but mimics the rice texture closely. Slightly chewy, transparent in looks, and cooks ups easily. It does the job! If I have extra room in my calories/carbs I will mix half the konjac rice with a little bowl of white rice and that really is a game changer and I don't feel as deprived. I'd would have given this rice 5/5 except it's on the pricey side as compared to regular rice prices. But if you're trying to lose weight and eat better, it's worth your money and your health, go for it. Each pouch is shelf stable and lasts a long time.

Fish Odor is definately there!
Don't know if I can handle the unappetizing odor of Zero-calorie noodles >Shirataki noodles derived from glucomannan, a fiber found in the konjac root. It naturally possesses a distinct fishy odor. I rinsed them, added a very small amount of vinegar to remove oder, but then slowly dried them in a teflon pan at a very low temp to improve the texture. Too much work! I had konjac ingredient noodles in the past, which had no such odor, so that is what to look for next. They do curb the appetite and can improve digestive motility, besides being no calorie, so there are benefits.

Really bad smell
I love konjac rice and have tried many brands available on amazon. These have a good price but the smell is just awful. Like bad fish. Try another brand, there are plenty to choose from.

Great for keto, but don't expect "real" rice texture
As someone who grew up eating rice every day, Iโm very picky about the texture. The price for this is fair, and itโs an excellent way to control your carbs. However, the texture is more "jelly-like" than fluffy or starchy like real grain rice. If you are looking for a 1:1 replacement, this might not be it, but if you need a healthy, plant-based filler, it works well. I actually think the konjac material works better as a noodle than a rice grain!
