The publisher "Forgotten Books" has done an excellent job in the production of the hardcover version. The original being from 1880 it shows the thinking of that time as applied to the cuneiform tablets from Babylonian & earlier times. Although much more has since surfaced this book demonstrates how methodical the Victorian academics were in extracting every ounce of information from what they had. The author has not sought to fill in gaps by guesswork but has compared other available sources to indicate the progression of this ancient fiction/theology geographically through time.As an additional treat the reproduction includes, at the back, the catalogue of the original publisher showing prices & choice of bindings. This in itself carries a wealth of information for Victorian social studies.
