Superb
Marshall town is a quality product, this is my 2nd one of these, my other lasted about 6 years, used for jointing, filling, and stripping wall paper (better than any scraper) would always make sure I’ve got one of these in my tool bag

Is it just me ?
Well made , right amount of flex however , why WHY do companies continue to put cr*p stickers on their products that don't peel off properly leaving a glue residue behind . I'm now going have to clean it more than I would of if I'd spent the day using it just to get it off !! I would of given it a 5* rating if it wasn't for this so Marshall town please take this into consideration , I surely can't be the only person who feels the same .

Short handle!!!
Love it but... the only thing about it is the short handle! The not stainless version handle is 2"longer and perfect to do the job. But is not comfortable at all.

It's okay, poor edge finish...
Marshalltown produce some quality plastering tools with a high finish. This flexible taping Knife and it's price isn't the at the highest end of the available range, so perfection isn't expected. A stainless steel blade won't be as tough as carbon steel but will resist corrosion. The blade is held into the carrier and plastic handle with two rivets, I don't know a tang continues through the handle. The handle doesn't have the robust, soft rubber like feel of their plastering trowels. It's blade flexibility should help to feather out fresh jointing compound. Unlike the polished edges of their high range plastering tools, the working edge of the blade has a rough cut finish, which leaves lines to sand back (additional work, time and arm ache). The edge will benefit from some time spent polishing it flat with a medium to fine stone / wet or dry paper before breaking in on the job. I don't know if this is the standard quality or if it missed a finishing stage and QA.Edited addition-I noticed that this is sold as "The Premier Line", If I was buying this over the counter, I would have chosen a better finished product. The need to sand and polish the rough working edge of a work tool sold as "Premier" reduces my review from three to two stars. Is this really Marshalltown? if so, the missed stage hypothesis is more likely. To help possible future customers, can reviewers mention the edge finish, maybe this was a rogue!
