Helps my worn out shoulder
I'm 72, had major shoulder surgery in 1997 from work related repetitive, industrial mechanical work. I reinjured it about 10 years ago weight lifting. About 3 years ago it started hurting really bad doing chores around the house like firewood cutting, splitting and moving it and stacking. Also working overhead and doing auto and house repairs it began slipping out of joint. I had a diagnosis that it needed to be replaced and have been getting steroid shots since. I saw athletes using these bands and tried the precut shoulder band. In a word "Wow" it felt better immediately. There is however, a significant drawback for old man skin, it is difficult to remove the tape. I soak it with alcohol and comes off but I get rashes and tenderness. I have started using the tape when I have a day's work and deal with the tape removal because it helps my pain and productivity. I have an appt next week with my orthopedic doc for a shot and an update on when I will get the replacement surgery. I'm hoping it will last until next March so it'll be recovered by Spring chores, planting and such. I'd recommend trying it, cheap enough for sure. Good luck to you.

Don't buy if you have connective tissue disorders
The past 12 hours have been me trying to get the adhesive residue off of my shoulder, but did not have success. I have tried rubbing alcohol, oil, even acetone to get it off, but nope. It is sticking to me and will not come off. If you have any connective tissue disorder, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It has ripped my skin and been very painful. I will not be buying this product at all from now on.

Shoulder kinesiology tape
Works well but you may need some help to place it correctly. Very good price.

Decent... but I'd just stick to good quality tape strips
Seems to work OK, but adhesive causes more damage to skin when removing, than the tape helps while its on!

Read if you want to remove with out damage
This tape has provided pain relief for my husband. They have no instructions to remove tape from thin skin seniors. So here is how... Best Options for Removal Here are the two easiest, skin-friendly methods (both work great on hairy areas): Oil method (my top recommendation for thin skin โ it's the gentlest and most effective) Use plain baby oil, olive oil, coconut oil, or any cooking oil you have at home. Pour or rub it generously right over the tape and along the edges. Let it soak in for 10โ20 minutes (the oil breaks down the sticky adhesive without drying out the skin). Start peeling slowly from one end. Roll or fold the tape back on itself at a very low angle (almost flat against the skin, not straight up like a Band-Aid). At the same time, use your other hand to gently press down or โsupportโ the skin right in front of where you're peeling. This keeps the skin from lifting or stretching painfully. Peel in the direction the hair is growing โ this dramatically reduces hair pull. Shower method (super simple if heโs okay with it) Hop in a warm (not hot) shower and let the water thoroughly soak the tape. Lather soap or body wash over it and give it a couple of minutes to loosen. Peel slowly exactly as described above, supporting the skin with your free hand. Either way should come off with almost no resistance once the adhesive softens. If a little sticky residue stays behind, just rub more oil on it and gently wipe it away.
