WJEC Eduqas Film Studies for A Level & AS Student Book

Informative and understandable
So far I have read around 60 pages which provides so much information about the syllabus for this A Level exam. Extra relevant activities are suggested for students. Terminology is explained in detail. I bought this book as my grand-daughter is interested in embarking on this course . Now I wish I was doing it !

Brilliant
Astonishingly good. My son had been watching films and analysis videos incessantly for three years to the detriment of his GCSEs, but vaguely shared his knowledge with me. Scraped GCSEs enough to be allowed on Film Studies A-level. At a glance of this book I could see that it was his perfect course as he knows the stuff and just needs to learn to write it. The book is very well written and tells you exactly what you need to know (comforts me that son knows this already and I know because of the book how to question him). Yes, it does look like a texbook with its little boxes of extra info but it’s all so interesting! Wish I was doing A-level film studies. You can really come to terms with life by looking at films.

Print-on-demand warped cover quality.
Unfortunately it’s one of the print-on-demand books so the covers are starting to warp already. Amazon should really make it clear in their description if books are manufactured in this substandard way or not.The authored content seems ok. Bought for my son’s A level course.

Poor detail
Really expensive and lacks detail. It might help you get a grade D or E if you are lucky. Definitely not worth £32
