I prefer U-locks for their sturdiness, and for the price, this one is solid. It’s rubberized, so it won’t scratch the bike, but make sure to check the dimensions because it’s on the smaller side—best for securing the frame. I use it for quick stops, as no lock is foolproof for extended periods or overnight. This one is great for deterring casual thieves and gives me the security I need for short errands.

This is a very heavy duty U-shaped bike lock. It is also quite heavy. I like how it includes a cable, three keys, and a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket also has a rubber gasket to help secure it to the bike frame. I also like the textured, grippy silicone covering on the U-lock. Overall, the lock meets my needs perfectly.

Not just for bikes. This lock is advertised as "Heavy Duty" and "Super Strong", and it looks like it is. And, "looks" mean a lot in the anti-theft world. My use for this lock is very important. I consider myself a field Geologist and am often out in the middle of nowhere. I have been stuck and don't want to spend hours getting unstuck... again. I now have rescue boards (among other things). But they only work if you have them with you. This is where this lock comes into play. I can now leave the boards attached to my cartop rack with only a minimal fear of them being ripped off (stolen). I am thinking that a potential thief will look at the locks (I have two, front and back) and consider that the effort is not worth the trouble. (The rescue boards are not that expensive. Getting help can be.)I am very happy with the purchase and the ease of application.

I ride an E-trike so the weight of this thing doesn't matter as much as the difficulty in cutting it off. It works perfectly for me and I don't think you could liberate my bike from it with just a pair of bolt cutters . That's mainly what I was looking for. It came with 3 keys so I can keep one on my key ring and still have a couple spares in case I stupidly misplace one. The 4-foot length is good for me as locking the body of the bike to any bike rack I may encounter requires it. It's easy to get on and off and coils up nicely in the rear rack when not in use.

Too complicated, I wanted to love this but it only fits one direction on my bike which will not work. Also the rubber that surrounds the actual lock that slides into the holder makes it nearly impossible to get it in and without a really struggle. Maybe I am weaksauce- but I don't need to spend 5 minutes trying to unlock and lock my bike each time,
