Great idea - though obviously copied from the American ScotteVest multi-pocket jacket, which also has zip-off sleeves. This Scottish (Scottie..?), jacket is made of stronger fabric - with the same size & pocket positions as the US original - which is great. What is not good are the small sizes available in this UK range - when it is a simple Fact that men’s clothing sizes are growing and both 5XL and 6XL are essential - especially if you fill all the internal pockets. Compounding this error in sizing policy is the companies’ reluctance to send me a return label, so that I may return my (pitifully small), 3XL size jacket in good shape - whilst waiting for AyeGear to bow to public pressure and produce a 5XL or 6XL for me - as their “Size Guide” would imply. It would also show more company honesty if AyeGear admitted the otherwise unexplainable similarities between their Scottish-made and those US-designed (including larger sizes), ScotteVest jackets. Until AyeGear admits the need for larger sizes in their range, I must recommend - albeit reluctantly - that ordering from across the Atlantic is yourBest course of action if you are substantial in size. Which is a shame...

This is a great idea. It is generally well made and of good quality. Downside is that it is a bit ungainly to wear as it does not drape very well and is a bit stiff. The hood when folded away is not comfortable. It maybe has too many pockets. The cable management system will probably be redundant with the increasing popularity of bluetooth ear buds. The front zip at the bottom is difficult to engage due to the proximity of the hem stitching. The price is also a bit expensive. I would have preferred a longer back. The sizes seem a little on the small side, particularly when you consider that the pockets when full will make it even more close fitting - one reason for fewer pockets.I think that there is also a bit to much emphasis on hidden pockets, some of the external pockets should be more obvious. This would distract attention away from the hidden pockets. Otherwise people know a jacket has pockets and expect to find them - hiding them makes people look more closely.

Whilst My 3 stars say that its only "ok" it works well and is a very competent storer of stuff..... It was a bit smaller than I had expected - which means that when you fill all of the pockets up, its tight. Definately buy one thats bigger than you usually buy. The second issue is that it isnt particularly breathable. I took this to Tenerife packed full of "Stuff" and I nearly melted. Luckily, my normal commute is manchester to inverness every Monday and Friday - and for this - its fine. It seems to be a bit waterproof.Note - In addition to the 2 huge pockets to the left and right on the inside, there are 2 zips on the outside at the back that make one massive pocket right across your back that could carry something much bigger than a laptop.The other reason for 3 stars - £155 isnt exactly a bargain

Read other reviews about fit but it works well for me. Comfortable jacket and even better when you remember into which pocket you put things! Very comfortasble with the one drawback for me the material used for the 2 transparent inside pockets which cause a condensation buildup when having a good walk.

I bought this jacket in December 2013 in a Large fit, as I am a 44 chest, but I found it too tight when I started to fill the pockets. i returned it to Ayegear who gave me a full refund as they didn't have an XL in stock.When they replenished their stock I purchased the jacket again, and it had been improved from the first one I purchased.The detachable sleeves make it a two in one, a jacket and a gilet for the same price.It is not cheap to buy, but the quality of the material and and the versitility of the jacket puts it right up there with the leading brands such as Jack Wolfskin, North Face, Etc.

Very well made and very useful travel jacket. I would have loved to have kept it but had to send it back because the length was too short. I have a longish back and so ordered a size larger than my normal in order to compensate. But it didn't! One other, very slight criticism - the zip on the hood was extremely difficult to operate and I imagine very frustrating if rain suddenly appeared!

After buying the Ayegear hoodie I needed an outer garment. Did my research and ended up with a choice of two- Ayegear or Orvis. Opted for Ayegear as the hoodie is so good and I am not disappointed. The quality is even better than I expected, excellent sturdy material and build quality with plenty of storage- goodbye to my carry ons.

This is the second ayegear jacket I have bought.The second one is for my son and is the extra large.If anything it's even better made than the one i bought a few years ago.Loads of storage and a well made functional jacket for everyday .Delivery was good.

La giacca è ben progettata, anche se pare sia una copia della Scott eVest. La qualità complessiva, però, è bassa, con fili che pendono un po' dappertutto e si incastrano nelle cerniere. Sui forum inglesi dicono che le cerniere sono di bassissima qualità e si rompono spesso. Io l'ho solo indossata in autunno (diciamo una 15ina di giorni in totale) ed è troppo poco per dare un giudizio.In ogni caso, vista la qualità complessiva, la trovo cara.

Funktionalität der Jacke ist super, aber meines Erachtens ist die Jacke total komisch geschnitten und fällt mir zu groß aus. Bei meinen "normalen" Armen waren die Ärmel oben viel zu weit, sodass der Stoff den Oberarm optisch "verschluckte" und sogar im Schulterbereich Falten schlug. An den Handgelenken waren die Ärmel viel zu lang.. schade, ich hätte gewünscht, dass sie passt und die Idee der Jacke ist top, aber leider gibt es keine Größe kleiner als S.

Habe die Jacke im Herbst 2014 für ein Kanada Trip gekauft und sie ist immer noch sehr gut in Schuss! Die verstaumöglichkeiten sind wirklich super fürs Reisen speziell im Flieger! Und mann kann sie auch so super anziehen. Ich benutze sie auch um ins Kino zu gehen und habe dann meine Getränke dabei.
