I recently tested Chia Charge Energy and Protein Bars during an ultramarathon, and I was impressed with their performance. I really like that these bars are made from real foods and contain recognizable ingredients. The protein bars have a great crunch and just a small amount of added fibre (it's a pet hate of mine seeing loads of bizarre fibre-boosting additives to protein bars). I feel a lot clearer what it is I'm eating with these, the taste is good and the texture is a really nice change from all the chewy/gooey bars on the market. I'd love to see these also produced in half size like the flapjacks.The mini flapjacks are a great change from energy gels and the small size is particularly convenient. A couple of minor issues I noticed were chia seeds getting stuck in your teeth and one bar crumbling on a hot day in my pocket. That is me being picky though (I'm not sure any bar would survive that pocket!) and I would still buy them again as I enjoyed the taste and prefer fuelling with real food. Overall this pack is a great way to try the range and work out which sizes/products fit best for your needs!

These quick and convenient. Pre training energy or any time of day. I love having the flapjacks with a cup of coffee pre training or the protein bars as a pick me up post training. They sit very well in my stomach much better than heavily processed protein bars. Overall, these bars are the healthiest snack due to their good quality ingredients and minimal processing.

These bars taste great firstly. They are a good size. The ‘big ones’ are almost too big for one go! Great to stick in your jersey pocket or back pack for a snack boost while out on the bike. Also easy on a sensitive stomach. And good value!

This is my second box of mixed Chia Charge Bars. It's easy to eat them when you aren't doing any exercise, they are so delicious. The smaller bars are the perfect pre-run size with a tea/coffee before an early morning run. Also, to take with you and have mid-run for a boost of energy. Lots of flavour options and meeting a variety of exercise needs. I've not suffered any GI issues which is a huge bonus! I prefer real food instead of gels, so these are perfect for me AND they are made in my home county of Yorkshire, what's not to like.

So I usually ride with Veloforte bars for on the bike fuelling, thought I'd give these a try for a change. Just back from a training ride and I have no complaints about these. They fit nicely in your cycling jersey, there's a good variety of flavours to chose from and I felt they nourished me well as the ride progressed. Pleased with my purchase, I would recommend.

Not used Ghia Charge for a number of years but gave them a try again to make sure the quality was still as good. Really pleased with the sample pack which had some really good bars/flavours. Definitely got me coming back for more
