The question was not “where is this made?” The question was “what is the country of origin?” as in, where do the materials come from before it’s made in the USA. They tried misleading me as well just like they did to this customer, but I pinned them down and got them to admit that the country of origin is, you guessed it, CHINA. No thank you.

Is this the same kind of iodine you would take to block radiation and is the efficacy the same as the pill form?

No. Suggested dose for adults in radiation emergency is 130mg of potassium iodide (KI). This product is not for radiation emergency, but only a supplement. It contains 250mcg (0.25mg) of KI, and a single bottle contains 450 doses, meaning there’s a total of 112.5mg of KI per bottle. That’s not even a full single radiation emergency dose. If radiation is your concern, I’d suggest tablets with at least 65mg KI.

Great question! :)
Put simply our Nascent Iodine is Potassium Iodide, dissolved in water. 
Iodine is an essential micronutrient, a mineral which is necessary to health but not naturally synthesized by the body. Iodine is naturally occurring in the soil and in certain foods, like fish and seaweed, and added to others, like Iodine-fortified salt. Under standard conditions, iodine is a solid, black-grey with a violet lustre. In solution, Elemental Iodine is unstable, so it will bond with another element, typically potassium or sodium. Thus, most Iodine in dietary supplements is in the form of potassium iodide or sodium iodide. Potassium Iodide is made by mixing potassium hydroxide with iodine; Potassium Iodide is also used in the iodization of salt.
We do not add sweetener as we wish to keep the product free of any unnecessary ingredients.
