Board not working. Customer care doesn’t care.
The board does not work. It may be a problem with the remote control. Despite numerous emails and generating a ticket for customer services to help me, no one got in touch. A waste of money and a very disappointed nephew who got a Christmas present that doesn’t work.

Good start to electric skateboards
This is my first electric skateboard. I've ridden a couple of regular skateboards before and this skateboard is definitely a nice starting point for e-board. The acceleration is slow as it it takes some time pushing a 70kg/144 lb person.. As a fix, push the board then hold the acceleration switch. Other than that it's pretty good speed wise, ideal for in urban environments as it's not too fast. The board can't go on rough ground as the wheels aren't large enough to sufficiently absorb vibrations to your feet. The side lights are good for at night as it helps pedestrians and cars to see you on the footpath/road. Overall it's a nice starter board but go with an electric longboard after trying this out for maybe a month or two. Btw I've been riding this for a month and maintenance is key to durability!

Fantastic board for a fantastic price!
This is a board that I have been keeping an eye on for awhile and I finally picked it up. $500 for this board is an insanely good price! At first, I was a little disappointed with the breaks as it was very sudden but I noticed that when I went up to normal mode, the breaks got so much better. I am not sure why this is the case, as you would think the beginner mode would have the smoothest breaks but I am fairly happy with the breaks on the normal mode. One advantage of this board is that it comes to a stop and its quick! If you need to stop, you will be able to which is a huge bonus for me as I will be using this around a college campus. The build of this board is very solid. I ended up tightening the screws in the deck and loosening the trucks to make it easier to turn. I feel very sturdy on this board and don't feel like I am going to fall off or lose control. This board is thick, something that I love but it doesn't give. If you are used to riding a long board, this will most likely take time to get used to. I can't emphasize enough how well this board is built. As for the weight, I am very surprised with how light this is given the battery size and range the board offers. I do have quite a bit of muscle, so the 10.5 pounds isn't that much. Holding it from the trucks is a little awkward, as I am not that tall so I think I will be picking up a backpack to strap the board on. Holding this horizontal with your arm over it on your side would be a little bit uncomfortable as the grip tape is very grippy and rough. This is something that is a little annoying right now but will be greatly appreciated down the road as the grip will still be there after use.Overall this is an amazing board and I am very happy with it. I've wanted an electric skateboard for awhile and the price of this was too good to turn down. I travel a ton and cannot wait to take this board with me as it can go on an airplane. Highly recommend this board to anyone!

Blink S Pros and Cons
Amazing board. This is by far the best electric skate board.Pros:-16mph crusing speed(pro mode)-front and back lights-fast charge time-7 mile range-light weight-easily cruise up hills-app for tracking trips and different modes for beginners, normal, and pro. With pro being the fastest topping out at ~16 mph and beginner's at ~7 mph.Cons:Theres nothing negative and this board. It's the best electric longboard for the price. Though maybe adding a switch to the controler for lights instead of going through the app would be nice for when your phones dead.

Fun board, BUT BEWARE OF STICKY THROTTLE!
The board itself is great. Rides well, carves well, has a nice tail to easily pop up if you need to carry. You will notice lack of power going up small hills, but what can you expect from a $350 single hub motor board. The hand controller however could use work. Feels cheap and the throttle began sticking after just the first 30 minutes of use and wouldn’t free up.So I opened up the controller by removing the 5 screws on the back of it (which were already almost completely stripped by whoever put it together) and separated the top and bottom covers, then I wiggled the throttle stick around a handful of times to loosen it up and used a little light sand paper to sand the opening on the top cover where it was rubbing and getting stuck. Put it back together and works like a charm now. Just be careful not to overtighten the screws when you put it back together. The plastic is cheap. The battery life is good, goes down quicker in pro mode vs. beginner, which is expected. You need to download the ACTON app in order to change between the 3 riding modes and turn on/off the headlights and taillight.-1 star for sticky throttle.Update 7/23/18: Sticky throttle is back. 🤬 Hesitatent to open the controller back up again since the cheap plastic and screws are garbage. $80 for a new controller, which feels and acts like a $20 one. I’ll search for a 3rd party option and keep you posted if I find something better.

Good Quality Light Weight E-Board - FUN!
The first Blink S I received from Amazon was clearly used, but that was not Acton's fault but Amazon's fulfillment mistake. After sending the used board back to Amazon I ordered another one, and finally received a NEW board.Im 5'11" 165 lbs, in my mid thirties but had ridden skateboards up until I got my first car. So, while not entirely new to the concept Im still pretty rusty but Im also in relatively good physical shape. After a few miles things sort of came back to me. 15 mph is more than fast enough for most people IMO. And, as others have said, the brakes take some getting used to as they are either on or off, while acceleration is tapered nicely. After a few stops, you will get the hang of it quickly, but will find that at higher speeds, they wont slow you quickly enough, so some advanced planning before stops is advised (A helmet and some gloves are a good idea.). The board itself seems relatively high quality, but is showing wear quickly. Cant think of a more fun way to get around though! Love it!
