Layrite Natural Matte Cream 297g | Medium Hold | Water Soluble | Matte Finish

So, if you have mid-long hair like me, this pot might last a month - 6 weeks depending on us. So, I would say a little pricey compared to some of its competitors, however, I have tried many of the competitors and this is worth the extra.1) It holds well, really well. I have thin blonde hair which left to its devices will turn to a bowl mop with no care. This product helps me to style (easily) and ensuring better hold by using more WITHOUT turning into a greasy or uncontrollable mess. That is the difference here...if you need more hold just use more product and your hair will not suffer.2) Other products I have used - Dax purple (good) blue (ok) Black and white pomade (ok but weak) B&W wax (too greasy) Fudge matte hed gas (instant results but fades after hours). I can confirm this Layrite is far better than these other products (and more).3) I use a small dose of strong hairspray to keep hold & from 7am-7pm the hold remains. It is remarkable.4) Smell is pleasant - on the sweeter side without going too far.

This is a fantastic product, and believe me I have tried almost every product on the market. I have hair roughly 3 inches long on top and like to have it swept back. Works really well on blowdried hair and provides a strong hold, but not so strong that you couldn't rework it or brush it in to position. Best of all is the smell of the product which is a soft vanilla scent, and it stays with you until you wash your hair, and this isn't one of those products that is hard to wash out. Genuinely really glad I bought this product as its the best I have ever used, and would completely recommend.

Only giving this four out of five stars for two reasons. The old Cream had an amazing vanilla scent which they seem to have removed from the new one. Bring it back! and it is a little more difficult to wash out than other pomades.Other than that; holds great all day and my hair is super thick and temperamental

I've used many products over the last couple of years and this is definitely one of the best, I have long hair and use it to slick my hair back, it has a slight shine and works perfectly for my thick hair. It lasted a long time as a little goes a long way. I would 100% recommend it.

Great stuff. Not as matte as I'd like but I don't know of anything better. Just use a tiny amount. Washes out very easily. Heavy rain will wash all of it out.I have a relaxed pompadour that's completely shaven on the sides and back. I use slick gorilla to get a good quiff at the front.

I think this would be ok for thin, fine and shorter length hair but I don't find it works for thicker or longer styles.It's easy to apply but the hold isn't great.It also dries hard making hair feel crispy and making it difficult to restyle if you get caught in the wind.I don't agree with their marketing statement that it feels like nothings in your hair.For the price it isn't worth it.

Needed some cream to keep my unruly hair in place as I was unable to have it cut regularly due to the corona lockdown, and I haven’t used any hair products for many a year. So having taken some advice tried this Layrite cream. Secret is not to use too much. Spread a little on your hands then massage through your hair - then comb in the normal way. Works for me and very pleased, and has a pleasant scent as well. Non greasy so no mess on the pillowcase. Some might say a bit expensive but from the little I have to use it will last me some time.

Absolutely great product with a great hold that doesn't leave hair looking hard or greasy. Only tip I'd give is that you should use less than what you think you'd need (a pea sized portion usually does the trick) and put a bit more on if you need.

It is not too hard on my hair and keeps its shape. It obviously isn’t going to work by keeping your hair fully still, but it’s great for small events and giving my hair volume. Once it settles after a while all you have to do it re wet your hair a tiny bit and it works wonders. It is also very easy to wash out with simple water.

I don't usually use hair styling products and I decided to purchase this one to try it out. I have been having problems with my hair getting too puffy and hard to style with just water. This product helped enough to keep my hair down most of the time. There is currently about 25% left in the container and I bought this product 5 months ago.

I originally bought the smaller size. One of the things I loved most about it was that it was light and airy, but with good hold - almost like a whipped mousse or something where it kind of had air bubbles throughout the cream.Convinced that this was a product for me, I upgraded to the big tub. It still works great, but seems thicker and heavier - more like a paste (but its still lighter than other products like Bed Head matte separation wax which I'd previously used).Still, this is a great product, with great hold and still has a lighter feel. Best of all, it washes out easily, even just with water, but doesn't really run from sweat or regular wear. So unlike other high hold, matte products, it won't build up if you shower but don't shampoo.
