After going all gray naturally and loving it, I lost my mind and colored my hair brown again with semit permanent color. What was I THINKING??? Well at least it isn't permanent , so it washes out gradually , but my temples and top root area need coloring about 4 weeks before the rest of my hair. Well this product helps with that. I just put it on my part and around my temples. It also makes my thin hair look thicker. If I screw up I just need to rub it in a bit hard to blend in more evenly. It doesn't come off on my pillowcase. It lasts 2+ days.. if you don't wash your hair every day. The applicator and product is super small but you don't need much. It is concentrated and doesn't go all over the place. I wish I discovered this sooner! I use the brown color.

I usually use a spray cover up, to touch up some gray hairs in between colours, but I am not a fan of those, as they are like a hair spray and they leave you hair feeling horrible. When I saw this product I could not wait to try it.The little sponge to apply the product to your hair is stored at the bottom of the container. There is a ribbon on top of the container that you pull and the lid lifts up. There is a mirror stored under the lid which I was not expecting.The product works great, just apply to your hair and off you go. No mess and no horrible feeling hairI do not give many products 5 stars, but I think this one deserves it.I highly recommend this product.

I ordered this to see how effective it would be for covering grays in my crown that I have to deal with when I am between stylist appointments.I just brush the powder onto those exposed grays along the part in my hair and then I feel less embarrassed to go out in public, lol. I have a different product that I've been using before trying this one and it works well so I will have something to compare this to later.I say "later" because THIS product, unfortunately, didn't arrive in time for me to test out the powder and now my grays have been colored and it will be another 6 weeks or so before I start seeing grays again. I will update my review when I get to that point where my next appointment is coming up but I already have grays showing.The packaging is nice, like similar products, I like the loop in the lid, and the mirror that is on the underside. I also like the way the sponge applicator is kind of hidden under the container.It all looks very classy and is a smart design - well suited for traveling, etc.So why only 4 stars? I have seen other products that also include a brush for application, along with the sponge applicator. For my use, the brush is essential because I try to avoid getting the powder on my scalp at the part because it wouldn't look natural.Once I've had some re-growth, I will test to see how well the powder works, how long before a touch up may be needed, how easy it is to wash out, etc. I'll also try the sponge applicator to see if maybe it's going to work as well as a brush and I'll update my review accordingly.

This root touch up powder works very well between permanent hair colorings. When I've gone a little longer than I should before I get my roots done, I can use this to go down my part line and around the edges of my face. It is hardly noticeable...just make sure you're not going to be sweating (LOL). I use this more for when I'm "going out" so I don't have too much concern about that, but it could be a concern depending on your circumstances because it can run when wet.

I never heard of such a thing before but since I have thinning hair I thought root cover up was just the thing I need. This stuff really is magic. It's not so much the thin hair that is noticeable it's that the scalp shows through. This is just scalp makeup that is so easy to apply and seems to stay put for hours and hours. Really I haven't had any need to refresh it for the entire day which is more than I can say for my face. The flip top lid works great so I don't misplace the lid and the applicator in the bottom is genius.

This product does what it says it will do - cover your gray. It’s a little messy and you need to be careful to blend well, especially the hair around your face and forehead.My hairdresser says to only use this type of product on very special occasions as constant use will eventually stain your hair. I don’t know about this, I haven’t worn it enough times to know if this will happen or not.

I have some slight thinning around my temple area. The powder covers the area well and looks fairly natural. The packaging is really nice and is easy to apply. Thankfully, the packaging makes is really easy to apply and is not messy at all. The powder sponge/puff is located at the bottom part of the container which can be removed and dipped into the powder. The sponge also doesn't pick up a lot of powder which lets you control just how much product to apply. As expected, this is just a temporary coverup and washes out easily.
