Very easy to install! I like that the wires lock with the side screws after being inserted into the holes! There's no need to insert a nail or tool to release them, that's a great feature. It works great, no problems at all.But that light...why? I don't understand the need for an LED to tell you the USB ports are energized. You'll know when you plug in your device! If it stops charging (over-current or over-heating) it's not like you can reset it, it does that automatically after a certain amount of time. I just don't think it's necessary to have an LED just to tell you it's on - when it's always on. It's not pleasant for bedside for that reason, it's so damn bright! I covered it with 5 layers of electrical tape cut into a little square and it still puts out a decent amount of light.It would get 5 starts, but that light is really annoying. If you're sensitive to light while trying to get to sleep you may want to look for one without the status LED. I hadn't even considered that could be an issue.

The media could not be loaded.  This sure comes in handy! Easy to install just like any other electrical outlet.Not much to really say about this one. It is like almost every other standard tamper-resistant (Arg) outlet except that it includes 4.2A USB charging ports to allow you to quick-charge hungry electronics like tablets and phone without having to mess with ugly wall warts.Very easy to install and my room counter is now much neater without all the chargers laying there. This is a Smart charger and sends only what your product needs with no input from you. It's very well built, in fact, it appears much studier than the outlet I swapped it with. I highly recommend this outlet/chargerI will continue to purchase the outlets to put around the house for easy device charging.

Works as advertised. Easy to replace existing outlet. BE ADVISED: This CANNOT replace an outlet that has the GFCI buttons on it. Oversight on my part given where I originally intended to install. Ended up replacing outlets on both sides of my bed.I went from having a USB wall block shortage to having a pleasant surplus for guests. No more hunting down a block from one room to use in another.Does NOT have any high frequency squeal as with some single and double wall blocks.Have not determined if devices will 'fast charge' with this.

I bought this outlet to install in the kitchen. Install was easy. I shut off the power to the outlet, removed the old one and wired in the hot, neutral and ground wire. Easy to install and if you haven't installed an outlet the instructions are easy to follow. It comes with 2 cover plates. 1 traditional type with 2 screws showing and a 2nd sleek design that snaps on. I chose the sleek design. Charges our phone, iPad and Kindle quickly. I highly recommend. I'm considering swapping out a few other outlets for the convenience of the usb charger.

I am giving this product three stars, because I have had to return them two different times. When you get some that work, they are good. The problem is, I ordered eight of them and four of them had to be shipped back because the USB ports wouldn’t work. I tried multiple cords and phones. I re-ordered four more of them, and three of those worked. I am sending the one that didn’t work back, and I have re-ordered a new one. Hopefully I will have eight working units out of 13 total ordered. That is not a good percentage for Quality control.

This works great. If you have ever changed abnormal electrical outlet this is no different. Shut off the breaker that supplies power. Check for voltage with a multimeter, if you don't have one the just bring a lamp over and plug it in. If it won't turn on then you obviously don't have power. From there all you need is flat and Phillips screwdrivers and ten minutes later you can plug USB cables directly into the outlet.

After installing these in my bedroom and using it during the night to charge my phone, I'm very disappointed that it simply cannot put out enough amperage to charge my phone efficiently. Like most of us, you plug your phone in and play around with it before going to sleep Upon doing so the last few nights, I actually noticed my battery level decrease as I was using it plugged in. The phone will still charge overnight fully to 100%, however that's being on the charger for 7 hours plus. I don't have an amperage meter to check the output, but I know it's not up to par with even a standard wall socket USB adapter. If you do not mind the extremely slow charging rate, sure. However I'm sure there are better options out there. Disappointing as I wanted to unclutter my outlets. Would not recommend.

These would get 5 stars because if you are looking for 15A usb outlets, these are it. The description states 20A which is not correct.
