Awesome yoyo!
This is by far the best yoyo I have ever played with! It is so fun! It is the perfect size and weight. It's nice that it is metal and so durable. It is super responsive!

Good Quality and Real Metal
It doesn't work well when it's responsive, but when it is unresponsive, it is smooth and glides. This set comes with a nice study zip-close case and a variety of colored strings. Another nice feature is that it comes with tools to switch from responsive to unresponsive.

Nice responsive yoyo with option to change to unresponsive.
The X8 responsive Yoyo is a very nice, well built yoyo. It comes with a nice quantity of strings (various colors) so you won't be scrambling for what to do if/when you break a string. Also included is a nice zippered case that will hold the yoyo, extra strings, and the replacement shaft and bearing. If you want to do basic tricks like: walk the dog, shoot the moon, around the world, rock the cradle, etc. then this as a responsive yoyo setup will work great. Like any other skill, it will still take practice to get this to "behave" and do what you want. Any yoyo won't do many tricks just because of the yoyo, the user is still in control. A tug on the string with the yoyo spinning down should bring it back.If you get to the point where you need a lot more spin and spin time, this yoyo can be setup as an unresponsive yoyo. This setup will allow the yoyo to spin much longer and do a lot more flips and flings but requires you to learn a "bind" with the string/yoyo to get it to return. This yoyo will give you both options.

This is a crazy yoyo
I ordered this for my daughter, who has recently got into yoyo's. This is not a beginner yoyo it is fast, precise and works great. I am very impressed with this yoyo.

Can't recommend for kids.
I picked this up for my 8 yr old son after he spent a lot of hours with a free yo-yo he got from the county fair. He was really excited to have one that wouldn't break like his free plastic one did. My initial impressions of the yo-yo were good. There are quite a few strings to choose from, the hard case makes it easy to keep everything together, and after I tried it I was impressed by how well the bearings worked. The problem is, this yo-yo wasn't for me, it was for my son. The first time he tried it things went fine, the second time not so much. He went to do it and instead of it staying down and spinning something must have caught because it shot straight back up into his hand. He ended up getting a decent bruise that still hurts about 2 days later. I don't think you can say that this is a good toy for kid beginners or even any beginner.

Great quality
I got this for my 9 year old stepson and he has had a blast playing with it and learning new tricks. It was very easy to take apart/put back together. He did have a complaint that the strings that it came with were a little cheap. He put the one string on and the yo-yo broke off and the string was ruined. He used a string from a previous yo-yo and it works fantastic. He is able to bind correctly, and do about 3 tricks already. Very happy.

My son is thrilled
My son has been thrilled with this yoyo. It looks outstanding, with vibrant colors and a nice shine. It's also nice that it comes with both responsive and unresponsive bearings (Google that if you're not sure). It has a case, which he loves, and which is convenient for protecting the yoyo and holding extra string. The string itself seems the lowest quality of the set, as it seems prone to fraying. But it's working well so far. He's having a ton of fun exploring the world of yoyoing and starting to learn some tricks. This seems like a good place to start.

I think it’s great for the price
Yoyoing had a bit of a moment in my hometown some 25ish years ago. I mention this because even back then it would have been very difficult to find a yoyo of this quality for less than 20 bucks. Seems like yoyos might be one of the lucky items to benefit from advances in production and distribution more without getting crushed by price inflation. In other words – although I had a few yoyos in my day – this is now the nicest yoyo I’ve ever owned. That is not to make any claims about how this yoyo stacks up against others in this price range today but, rather, that I’m impressed for just how well this yoyo works at this price point.I will say that I was initially a bit underwhelmed when I opened the case and all the strings popped out like a rat’s nest on a fishing reel. But that was mostly due to expectations set by how orderly they appear in the product pictures. My disappointment was short lived and the issue was easily resolved, as the strings weren’t actually all that tangled. In terms of function – as I mentioned before – it is certainly the nicest yoyo I’ve ever used. I have really enjoyed being able to teach my kids the very few tricks I know with ease. I’ve also enjoyed witnessing their elation at such a simple toy…which I was not really expecting.Overall, I think it’s great; primarily because I think it represents a good value for what it is.

Quality Yo yo!
Love this yo- yo.. my son got one from his teacher and was hooked.. well next to this it feels like junk. This is responsive, looks great, has nice weight to it.It really makes trying new tricks way smoother. Its VERY vibrant, and comes with a bunch of different strings to try for looks or in case one breaks. He is super happy with it and I like watching him try new things thats aren't on the ipad. Win for me.

Great yoyo, the profile is not very forgiving.
The media could not be loaded. I wouldn't recommend this yoyo for a beginner. Its a good yoyo for the price, the quality is there and it has the smoothest and quietest bearing of any yoyo I've used in this price range. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that id has a sort of wide profile, there is a big gap in the center pushing alot of the weight towards the sides. As a result its kind of tricky to get a straight throw, with most of my other Toto's there is more weight in the middle making it a little easier to balance. Otherwise its a great yoyo and to someone more experienced that weight distribution may be advantageous, I'm not sure as I'm sort of a novice.Otherwise really nice yoyo I just don't know if id recomnt it to a beginner.

Smooth; great trick yoyo
I got this yoyo for my boyfriend. He loves it. He is able to do a bunch of tricks with it and makes it look effortless. He says the yoyo is smooth and an easy beginner yoyo to start learning tricks with.

Love This
I love this X8 Responsive Yoyo Professional for Kids and Adults. It is for the kids but I have tried it out a few times I used to know all these tricks. Anyway, the kids enjoy trying to learn new tricks and it entertains them for a while and gets them away from the screens.
