Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100: 17” Professional Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer

My husband purchased this and we have been using it for ~ 9 months. The photo quality is excellent. Definitely worth the money. We were concerned when the low ink indicators came on soon after purchasing but we have printed multiple large prints since with no issue. Setup up was easy if you have any computer skills at all. The window type menu is easy to navigate. The full color prints take a few minutes but are worth waiting for and the richness of the colors and the vibrancy are fabulous. It is heavy so get help to bring it inside. It weighs about 75-80 pounds and once you place it somewhere you will want to keep it in that place. We have printed 13 x 19 but it will print up to 17 x 22. By far the best paper to use is the Canon pro platinum, that metallic finish makes all the difference in landscape and architectural photos. Hubble tries to print something every few days as recommended by other owners to prevent ink wastage. He has a huge collection of beautiful photos that I need a larger place to display!

It may sit on the heavier side (~70 lbs) and print slower than smaller models, but the uncompromised output quality makes it a worthy centerpiece for any serious creative workspace.

Update, there is a smudge and scratch on photo prints size 8X10. We have been on the phone numerous times with canon and they have found no solution. This seems to be a relatively common problem with this model of printer specifically that they haven't found a fix for yet.

Print quality is great when it works. When printing 17x22" pictures with every setting and permutation, the printer produces unacceptable banding, ruining the print. There doesn't appear to be a solution to this at this time. Disappointing.

Print quality is amazing!! The colors are amazing, producing amazing pictures with deep colors. The main issue is the lack of the claimed anti clog technology. If you do not print something at least every other day, it will clog the print head. I never go more than 3 days without printing but have still had the print head clog 4 times in 3 months. Any maintenance wastes a lot of ink, which is not cheap at all. This printer would be amazing if Canon could figure that out.

Delivered on time. Works just fine. Was delivered to my back door by the UPS driver. Which was very nice of him because it was a very heavy item.
