Fat and happy
Pretty frickin' sweet. Super simple and cheap. I also bought the PDW mudshovel and I like this one better. It doesn't do as good a job keeping the muck off but it's better than nothing. It stays in place really well and keeps the 'beaver tail' from forming on a sloppy commute. That being said I had some spray on my back and legs- but it's a fat bike. The major amount of spray was from the front tire (which I also have the mucky nutz on the front too), and that's of more concern to me at this point. I'd say it keeps about 80% of crap off of me from the rear, but if you want to show up clean for work maybe a fat bike shouldn't be a commuter. Take the bus or something...

Broke on the first ride- less than 1 mile!
Went for a ride on groomed trails on a 35f degree day. I knicked the fender with my foot slinging my leg over and the seat and damned thing broke. Granted it was a colder day than most people ride skinny tire bikes but this was listed as a fat tire fender. Most fat tire bike people ride in the snow! I'm still waiting for the Mucky Fat front to come in the mail- let's hope that one holds up better!Edit: 3 weeks later and no response from Mucky Nutz. There you have it potential buyers- the company won't reach out if you have a problem!

Essential to Fatbiking!
I would state that this is a pretty essential piece of gear for your fatbike if you're going to be anywhere near trails that are not dry. With such large tires, they will quickly pickup a lot of water and throw it all over your rear and back. It's a simple and efficient design that weighs next to nothing.Paired with the Mucky Nutz Face fender, you're all set. I keep these on my fatbike winter and into spring until the trails dry out. Installation is quick and easy. I also have the mucky nutz products on my road, mtb, and cx bikes... pretty standard for northeast Ohio weather.

Great fender be aware its there and won't get kicked to death.
A nice upgrade to my fender setup. Sturdy material and secured well to my seat enough so that when not needed I'll leave on as not to wrestle it off. TIP: To address kicking and breaking or losing the fender just be aware its there when mounting and dismounting bike. I lean bike over a little extra and leg sweep a bit higher when mounting and when dismounting just leg sweep a bit more. It will become a habit and you won't even think about it after a bit. If you spill and it breaks? Well life's a risk homie... It's not the only thing that can break during a spill.

Cool fender but broke
I used this fender 3 times. It fit great but I hit my foot off it and it shattered.

nice fender
works decent but for really muddy situations something bigger would be better if its not too muddy it works great very light too a slight wrestle to install

100% easy install on my fatbike seat, zero tools (I did add a zip strap tho)
Quality is...well plastic, if you damage it, you can easily replace it, but so far so good. It's not a rigid install as it hangs off the seat frame so if it loads up with mud it COULD come off so downside #1.I'm trying this out and may have to switch over to a hard mount fender, the front one is similar (there will be another review on that item), but you use zip straps and it's much smaller and a tad more robust.Overall pretty happy thus far, next ride may say otherwise.Rated 7/10 for design and build quality

Fits easily
Item fits well and given its limited size does protect your bum/back from the worst of the crud thats thrown up. Recommended
