TURN OFF SLEEP MODE…..
This unit works great for the price. It heats up fast and works great. The only problem I had was the sleep timer. Make sure you turn off the sleep mode first. It’s very easy to do in the menu..It has a nice tip and it has a holder too. It also comes with a small sponge. Great deal for the price. Hopefully this helps someone out.

How... a whole working station cheaper than the parts
I wanted an extra stand and some extra tips and recalled seeing this for $12 and how can you lose, showed up packaged well and working perfectlyHeats really fast just like my other t12 station and would be a great alternative to some of the other options as it should be an actual 72w with variable control, hard to beat this dealThe iron can be stuck into the holder backwards if you need to as well freeing up your hands

Just get one
I bought this just to see if it had a decent handle and it does.It has a strange sleep function that requires you to press one of the buttons to wake it up. But that function can be turned off.So far so good... I been using one for 4 months and it works well.

Heats quickly and maintain temperature. Quick reheat after sleep mode.
This LRT Soldering Iron Station T12, 75W is a really nice low cost piece of equipment. It comes with a 1/4" chisel tip which is a bit large for electronic components but great for wire terminal connections. Most of the work that I do is wire terminals and connectors so this is perfect for me. I have a non-adjustable Weller fine tip for the circuit work but I seldom use it for that. This station has a sleep feature, when in the rest it turns off after the time that you set. When you move the handle it automatically comes on and is up to temperature in seconds. This is a nice feature. Fortunately the instructions are short and written in good English. I don't know if other tips are available.

Nice soldering iron
The one I received didn't work out of the box (had the H E error message on power up indicating a break in the circuit). I contacted the vendor through Amazon and after validating the issue, they sent me a replacement soldering element. That worked fine. While the setup instructions for setting the temp, timeout and C/F is a little fidgety to do, you really only do it once. The iron heats up relatively quickly and does its thing fine. The cord is not stiff, so it doesn't push back when maneuvering the iron. The holder works fine but the yellow sponge isn't affixed to the tray at all and tends to move around - minor in the scheme of things.Overall, a fine soldering iron.

Works, but I’d steer clear of this soldering iron.
The price was the main selling point of this soldering iron. It being a t12 soldering iron means that it’s a pretty decent soldering iron even if it’s made badly.Saying that, it did work for me when soldering new switches for my mouse, though I suggest investing into a higher quality soldering iron.My main concern, if you can believe it or not, is with the quality, specifically the wiring. Not sure if it was an issue with QC or this applies to others, but my soldering iron had an issue with the wiring from the power supply unit to the soldering iron. When maneuvering the iron, it would produce zapping noises where the wiring connects to the soldering iron.Maybe I’m just paranoid, but I can’t recommend a product has safety issues when used properly.

Defective - but on paper, you get a lot for ten bucks.
I saw this station for $10 with a holder and tip included and had to try it out despite knowing there would be some drawbacks. Unfortunately, the station was defective on arrival. When the included T12-K tip (verified working in another station) was plugged in, it would flicker between the H-E error and the temperature display every few seconds. When the tip was unplugged, it gave the heating element error as expected. So something seemed to be wrong with the control board.I did a quick teardown out of curiosity. First thing I noticed was that the power supply could(?) deliver the advertised power. A typical 96W flyback - heatsinked primary FET is rated for 7A, 1.1ohm Rdson (RS7N65F) and transformer rated for 24V, 4A. Input 2A fuse, thermistor, and CMC, proper Y safety cap (but no X cap). RCD clamp across the primary winding. Isolation looks decent. I couldn't decipher the flyback or SR controller ICs, but the secondary fet is a beefy SGM107R7T, 100V Vds, 90A (6.9mOhm Rdson). FYI, earth is just left floating, there is no connection to the tip (NOT ESD safe despite the box saying so).For the control board I was not able to find the actual power FET or controller IC (no markings) online, but the connector wires and the handle connections were correct(?) and making contact. So something is probably wrong with the tip detection logic. I did notice the mains switch (heatshrunk thankfully) was located very close to the control board, specifically the programming headers directly underneath and also the resistor network and diode. So isolation was rather sketchy due to the mains switch. To be honest, the 24V SMPS, T12 tip, handle, and holder alone are probably worth $20+ so you could salvage this for other projects. But would not recommend to most consumers due to poor quality control and lackluster customer service.
