Needs firmware to make it playable
I got mine last month and I have not played on it much due to three problems. The out of the box problem is heat. The device comes out of the box clocked at 1.5 ghz. Which we would want it to be set at for all those graphical intensive games out there. Well yes and no. The heat from the processor is not cooled properly. Most tablet processors are passive cooled but are equipped with some decent heat sink. Unfortunately the 7300 isn't that well provided for. So you need the latest firmware to under clock the tablet oath wise you will get very toasty hands.Borderline painful. So when it is under clocked to 1ghz it settles down and just gets warm.Second problem. The device just stops during gameplay. It is not lag but something else. Might be linked to the poor cooling but it will get beyond a joke if I have to under clock it to 700mhz. That will suck.Third problem. The mapping of controls are fiddle. Some work, but you have to line up the controls via a graphical representation (template) and it does get crowded. Better get you little sister to do it for you. Fat fingers do not work.Is it worth the money? No. Better get the psp look alike 5300. 7 inch display is nice but with the problems above you will have a better product. I mean I have to crack open the 7300 case and add a better copper panel for a heat sink and add a laptop fan to assist in the cooling, if it want full speed, no lags and cool fingers.
