Electric Mini Tank Hot Water Heater, 2.6 Gallon Instant Heater, 1500W 110V, Small, with Digital Display for RV Kitchen Bathroom

I live nomadically 6 months out of the year and custom built a trailer and decided I'm tired of the propane water heaters so I gave this a try. It works great for the money and I run it on my 3000 watt power inverter installed with the switch so I turn it on about a half an hour before I take a shower and it heats the water up just fine for a short shower and with a thousand watts of solar panel and 600 amp hours of battery I still have plenty left to get me through the night with my refrigerator the television and running the microwave a couple times it's a lot more efficient than I expected

Well, let's start with the positive. It does heat water. On the negative side, the list is longer. First, none of the connections to this unit are NPT, except the two flex hoses included. Once I figured that out and altered my plumbing plan accordingly I got it installed. Once I filled it, plugged it in and turned it on it was obvious, as shown in the picture, that the setpoint and clock displays were defective and unreadable. One of the main reasons I bought this particular unit was it appeared to be programmable so that the heat could be turned off when not needed. There appear to be three operating modes. Since there were no programming instructions included, I don't know what they do or how to get them to do it. Since I can't set the clock or the heater setpoint, I don't think I could make it happen anyway. Amazon politely sent me a replacement unit. I thought instructions and a working display might be included. There were no instructions and the displays had the same problem as the first unit. I will be returning both and moving on.

I got this item for our back bathroom, which has ice water as soon as winter comes. The pictures show a supposedly easy install by user. But the instructions which came with the package specifically states. "Have it installed by a qualified professional". See my photos for the actual page. Then the instructions says that it needs 220v, which is also on the product description page. BUT the plug on it is a 120 plug, see photos. Most homes are wired for 120v. Laundry rooms have 220v in addition to 120. So now you need a plumber, and maybe an electrician. That is going to make this item a lot more expensive than I first thought. I think I will wait and have it done professionally. We are currently redoing our home and I'll update this review when I can.

If you're like a lot of people, you have a water heater on one end of your house, but you need hot water on the other end of the house. Say, your water heater is in the garage, but you need hot water in your kitchen. Not large amounts, just enough for washing dishes, washing hands, etc. We installed a small water heater like this in our previous house, and it was one of the best upgrades we ever did. In our current house, it takes a long time to get hot water to the sink in our master bath.This little water heater may be a great deal...but without instructions, you'll never know, will you? Yes, there are no instructions in the box or packaging. There is a sort of instruction manual for some other water heater, but it doesn't have anything to do with this one. And the programmable mode looks like a great idea, but there's no indication how to change it to read degrees F, or set the timer, the temperature, etc. I've muddled through and gotten it heating, but I'd rather not run it all the time, just as I program my hybrid water heat. I don't need a full water heater at 140 degrees at 2 a.m.If I receive or find adequate instructions, I will edit this review to reflect that.

Missing part but they sent me one with part and works great .very fast heat up about 8 minutes in cold weather.

Mini water heater is compact and generates hot water fairly quickly for 1500W 110V unit. Housing is a thick plastic. It has a nice display the shows temp and and its easily adjustable. 110V plug for easy installation without hardwire.

This little water heater is a lifesaver, especially when you need hot water fast. It heats up quickly and the digital display is easy to read. The tank is a good size for a small family or for occasional use. It's perfect for my RV, as it provides instant hot water for washing dishes or taking a quick shower. The only downside is that it can be a bit noisy when heating up, but it's not too bad. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase!
