I found this product more useful and better overall than I expected, but it does still have some drawbacks. For the price, it's a nice little Halloween / horror novelty. If you're interested, I'd say give it a try.Overall, it works as advertised, the battery pack is detachable and has what looks like a standard 2-pin connector, so if you're handy, you might be able to tinker with this a bit. It's definitely wearable, and for a rigid plastic mask at this price point, that's fine.My criticisms mostly relate to the small things that would really increase the value of this purchase -- or even justify a higher price. (If the price were higher, without fixing these issues, I'd voice these criticisms more strongly.) If you just want a fun little Halloween mask that isn't a budget-buster, this is fine. If you are going to be picky or disappointed, here is what I would warn you about -- but you should also be warned that at this price point, these issues are probably not isolated to this single product.First, the eye holes have an odd shape and placement. Depending on how it fits onto your face, this may make it easier or harder to see.This doesn't entirely fit an adult face properly, probably due to its design as a "one size fits all age groups." The cheeks, forehead, and possibly other parts of the face will be visible around the mask, even with a hood or cloak or whatever. In the dark, that's fine, but in a bright setting, it doesn't look great.In fact, the overall mask looks much better in the dark than the light. Maybe if you scuff it up and sort of reduce reflections and contours, it might look better in brighter environments.The mask itself, I'm not impressed with how thin the plastic is. I have some concerns about longevity and durability.I also have to criticize most products these days, when it comes up, that their photos are not real to life, whether they are AI generated or traditionally photoshopped, or maybe both in some cases. The proportions of an adult male face pictured are not true to life with the product, it's just a bit smaller really. And the parts of the forehead showing through the eye holes is much more visible than in these images. A bit of dark mesh (the see-through type) would have also helped, either covering the entirety of each eye hole, or just the top where a person's eyes won't be.And finally, at least mine was assembled very sloppily. The led tube protrudes and goes a bit off track in a few places, even jutting out from behind the mask in a few places where it's not supposed to. The white foam on the forehead area sticks out above the mask, so it's visible from the front. I can fix most of this with some hot glue or whatever, but for the price, even if it's not the best mask ever, it could have better QC.

So I got this for my 7 year old sun, who thinks he wants to be some sort of Venom for Halloween. The description says one size fits all (ages 5 and up) but I'm not sure that's totally accurate. Because of the positioning of the eyes, he can't quite see fully out of it unless he looks to the side. I tried it on and had the same issue as an adult. But honestly, he doesn't seem bothered by it. The cord placement is a little funky, as it plugs in right above and in the middle of the eye. This would have been a little better off to the side but again, not a deal breaker because we just fed it through the top and once he has a hood on, you won't be able to see the cord. Bottom line, it's a fun creepy mask and he's happy so I'm happy. It is a pretty cheap plastic but with the light-up factor, I think $18 for it as a good price.

I bought this for my 8 year old for halloween. He put it on and said he couldnt see. I assumed it was because it is an adult mask and he is a child however I had 2 adult men try it on and even they could not see. The eyes are too far apart so vision is blocked from the center on both eyes.

Planning to use this with my Halloween costume this year and it looks great when you turn it on. The mask is a bit thin and the whole thing feels a little fragile. But as long as you aren't planning to do anything extreme while wearing this, it should be fine.Eye holes are a little too far apart for my eyes but I can see. Might be an issue if you are walking around a lot while wearing this. Air holes in the nose would have been nice also, just to keep me from breathing my own breath over and over.

This mask is very versatile. This is on my eight year old son and he absolutely loves it. Also it fits me, and every other person in my household. Pair it with a cloak, a hoodie, normal clothes, hell... anything really. You can see through the eye holes easily even when lit and the control works great. The only issue is figuring out where to run the corded remote through. Cheap and easy staple for your costume closet!

For the price this is a great Halloween mask! Very Purge-esque with the LEDs. The material is super flimsy and lightweight, but it does the trick and visually looks wonderful. Highly recommend for your costume or if you're odd like me...spooky mask collection!

My almost 8-year-old wanted a “scary” costume this year, but didn’t want one that was already put together. This mask reminded him of Venom, so he immediately asked to have it. The lights are bright and shows up well in the dark. The control is easy to use and allows you to easily cycle through the modes. The mask itself is made of pretty thin plastic, so don’t think this will last many years, but should be fine for at least one night of haunts. The eyes are shaped a little weird and not quite “Venom”-like, but it works well enough. I’m now in the hunt for a cloak of some sort as he pieces together his costume.
