I like the idea of a water sensor Diya
I like the idea of being a water sensor diyas. When you fill the base with water, it starts lighting and flickers. Diwali is still one week away, so I am not able to test them to their full potential, but I have tasted all the Diyas for a few minutes; they work well. As of now, it is premature to comment on their longevity. If there is anything worth mentioning, I will update my review. On the downside, I am not too fond of its finishing. It looks very plasticky in the daytime. But it looks nice at night, and when filled with water, it resembles oil lamps. Another con is that it doesn't float on water, as the listing picture suggests.

Plastic flickering flame Diya lights
The media could not be loaded. Delightful set of self lighting Diya lights for Diwali. In the base of the bowl are two probes which when filled with water causes the light to flicker on. I like that they are flame free. Diwali is the festival of light and these are a perfect addition for the Home. Although plastic I found the flickering flame to be realistic. These don’t float on water, as the product imagery may suggest.Update: a couple in the box didn’t work. And we found that they came apart very easily, where small batteries can be gotten too, see photos. Supervision is essential when using with young children as there are small parts which could cause choking and or internal burns if swallowed. They will need to be recycled responsibly with electronic waste.Furthermore the probes are actually tips of two screws, some of which react badly with the water and go rusty, and so then fail to work.
